Characteristics and virtues of Hazrat Khadija (PBUH)

According to Hajj Information Base, at the meeting of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office employees, Representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab honored the anniversary of the death of Umm al-Mu'minin, Hazrat Khadija Al-Kubra (PBUH) and referring to the characteristics and virtues of that Hazrat , stated : "The generous lady can be mentioned as a perfect model of the path of Holy Prophet of Islam (peace be upon him)."

He emphasized: The Holy Prophet of Islam has encouraged others to follow the path of this great lady of Islam.

Hojjat-al-Islam Navvab pointing out that Hazrat Khadija (PBUH) passed away in the tenth year of the Bi'tha shortly after the death of "Hazrat Abu Talib", said: "That year is remembered as a year of sorrow and grief (Am al-Huzn)."

He went on to say that the Prophet's admiration for Khadijah envied some of his wives, adding: "The Messenger of God upon hearing that the current wives have superiority over Khadijah emphasized:" I swear, God has not given me a woman better than her, She was the one who believed in me when the people disbelieved, and he was the one who acknowledged me, and the people denied me (and they lied to me). God gave me children from her and deprived me from other wives.

Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims pointed out that Hazrat Khadija (PBUH), despite her suitors, proposed marriage to the Holy Prophet during that dark period of ignorance. Hazrat Khadija Al- Kubra was looking for spiritual values, not wealth and possessions, which she had the best. From the point of view of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), if the wives of Holy Prophet stand in one scales and Hazrat Khadija stands in another, the scales of Hazrat Khadija would be heavier.

The representative of the Supreme Leader mentioned Khadijeh's life with the Prophet as a special period and said: Hazrat Khadija was so beloved for the Prophet that the Messenger of God even respected her friends.

Hojjat al-Islam Nvvab, pointing out that the services of the past should not be ignored and forgotten, mentioned the lessons that can be learned from the life of Hazrat Khadija and said: Mankind should not forget the efforts and services of others during power and should not be jealous. We should remember the successes of the past with kindness and walk in the path of theirs.

At the end of his speech, referring to the anniversary of the birth of Imam Hassan Mojtaba (AS) on the next Saturday, half of the month of God (May 09), Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims said: He taught morality to human beings and even talked to those who came from the Levant to downgrade him, in a way that acknowledged the status and greatness of Imam Mojtaba (AS).
