Joint Statement of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization on 99 Hajj al-Tamattu'

Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, referring to the announcement of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah that the 99 Hajj will be held in a limited and internal manner, emphesized: "Iranian pilgrims will not be sent to the land of revelation this year."

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Joint Statement of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization is as follows …

In the name of God

Dear nation and enthusiasts of the pilgrimage to the Great Mosque of Mecca and the Al-Masjid an-Nabawi and the Imams of Al-Baqi' and the registered pilgrims for Hajj al-Tamttu’ in 1399 ;  The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced on Monday (1399/04/02) that the 1399 Hajj rituals will be held in a limited and internal manner without the acceptance of pilgrims from other countries, therefore, the dispatch of Iranian pilgrims and other countries to Saudi Arabia for this year's Hajj is practically ruled out.

As announced in previous announcements, the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, after last year's Hajj, made the necessary plans, arrangements and all arrangements for sending pilgrims, including: medical affairs, education and culture, accommodation, nutrition and Procurement, transportation and etc. according to previous years.

In addition, due to the outbreak of the corona virus, the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization held several specialized meetings with health care professionals and experts to prepare health guidelines for all stages of Hajj, which resulted in the development of health and executive guidelines.

Also, Supreme Leader Delegation Office in Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, received Maraji opinions in order to perform Hajj rituals in emergency situations of coronavirus outbreak.

Considering that Hajj is a divine duty and all Muslims are involved in; it was expected Saudi government to seek the views of other Muslim countries in a decent manner, and to use their cooperation to resolve this problem, which has now overshadowed the rest of the world.

In any case, due to the impossibility of performing Hajj for Iranian pilgrims, while maintaining the turn and priority of sending registered pilgrims, all Hajj programs will be postponed to next year, and God willing, more details will be announced in the next announcements.
