Exploring new strategies for sending pilgrims to the Holy Shrines

Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced the consideration of new ways to send pilgrims to holy places, taking into account the conditions caused by the outbreak of Corona virus.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, at the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Alireza Rashidian said: previous methods cannot be used In the current situation for sending pilgrims to Syria and Iraq; and pilgrimage platforms must be provided to attract and send pilgrims by using the capacity of the brokerage offices and the non-governmental sector.
This meeting was chaired by Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
Rashidian also stressed the need to pay attention to financial issues and cultural supervision, emphasizing the diversity of pilgrimage packages and greater flexibility in providing services to pilgrims.
In the continuation of this meeting, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs also asked those involved in sending pilgrims to Iraq and Syria, discuss the proposed solutions in the meetings of specialized working groups with the presence of Supreme Leader Delegation Office' cultural representative and then present the solutions to the current council for following up and coordinate with the responsible agencies.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added: the opinions of the experts of the Health Ministry and the National Anti-Corona Headquarters at the specialized meetings should be taken into account and the response to the spiritual needs of the people should also be considered.
Deputy head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Atabat affairs Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani presented a report at the meeting on the process of sending people to Syria and Iraq last year. 
Expressing the role of Shamsa Company in sending pilgrims to the holy shrines, he said: Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has planned to study various solutions in specialized working groups in order to make changes in sending pilgrims and to update the activities and programs of Shamsa, which is considered the executive arm in the expeditions.
At this meeting, deputy directors of Management Development and Resources of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Mohammad Hussein Khoshnevis and Mohammad Azad, also reported on the suggestions system that has been recently launched in Supreme Leader Delegation Office, as well as the measures taken to build a memorial for the martyrs of Mecca and Mina in the Hajj Organization separately.
The representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs also stressed at the meeting on the need to reflect the proposals presented to the relevant units and pay attention to the opinions of architectural and technical experts in design and implementation of the structure.
