Services to pilgrims through e-government was reviewed

The activities carried out to provide services to pilgrims on pilgrimage trips through e-government were reviewed at the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Director General of the Information Technology Plan and Program Office of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Mr. Mehran Farshid,  reported on the services provided to Hajj, Umrah and Atabat pilgrims in the form of e-government desks and said at the meeting: Electronic service desk has been implemented in Tehran and other provinces and so far more than four thousand requests have been answered through the system.

This meeting was chaired by Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.

This system has been set up with the aim of improving the quality of services, responding and facilitating the process of registering and following up on clients' requests to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, and is a very good step in the direction of e-government and providing services to pilgrims in absentia, Farshid added.

The representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also called at the meeting practical supervision of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office in this process and reminded the necessity of creating a culture among the pilgrims to benefit from such services as much as possible.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized: Considering the spread of Corona virus and the importance of providing in absentia services to clients, in the current situation, this system should be strengthened and expanded so that pilgrims across the country can easily benefit from this capacity.

According to this report, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs mentioned at the beginning of the meeting, Rabiʿ al-Awwal as the month of the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH) and considered the migration of the Holy Prophet from Mecca to Medina as a lesson for all human beings on the way to achieving great goals.

Stating that the imigration had various successes for the immigrants, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added: "With the imigration of the Prophet (PBUH) the ground for great conquests was prepared for the Muslims and the fledgling Islam was strengthened and expanded."
