Iran and Iraq Hajj officials consult on future Hajj

Iranian and Iraqi Hajj officials discussed the upcoming Hajj in a video consultation.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Hajj officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Iraq discussed and exchanged views on the upcoming Hajj in a video conference.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam navvab, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization chairman Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian and also Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Iraq Supreme Council of Hajj and Umrah; Hojjat al-Islams Sami Masoudi and Sayyed Razi al-Husseini at this virtual meeting, in addition to expressing their views on the upcoming Hajj, they emphasized the readiness for consultation and exchange of views for coordination, interaction and synergy between the servants in the two countries.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs noted the full readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to cooperate and exchange experiences in various issues of Hajj and Umrah with other countries, especially the friend and neighbor country of Iraq and expressed hope this cooperation will lead to regular activities and signing a memorandum of understanding between the two countries.
We are ready to hold various conferences in the fields of Hajj, Umrah and Atbat in cyberspace with the presence of thinkers and scholars of Islamic countries, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized.
Given the coronavirus crisis, having information about future Hajj programs is very important, and also given that Saudi Arabia has not provided any information in this regard so far, cooperation between Islamic countries has a valuable result, He said.
Hojjat al-Islam navvab added if Saudi government expresses its readiness, we can communicate with the thinkers and personalities of the Islamic world and convey its points to the host country of the pilgrims of revelation land.
 Chairman of the Iraq Supreme Council of Hajj and Umrah also said at the meeting that holding such meetings is useful to be aware of the thoughts and ideas that can lead to unity and increase the information of hajj officials and pilgrims.
He said: "We must turn the Hajj Great Congress into a purposeful and popular gathering so that the Islamic Ummah can move towards a united ummah."
Hojjat al-Islam Sami Masoudi welcomed the exchange of experiences between the two countries in the field of Hajj and Umrah and reminded the need to communicate with other Islamic countries about the upcoming Hajj and considered cyberspace as a suitable ground in this regard.
Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization said at this virtual meeting uncertainty about the future Hajj will create problems for Hajj executive programs.
Clarifying the issue of Hajj at the right time is an undeniable necessity, he added.
Mr. Rashidian emphasized: "Islamic Republic of Iran has prepared health instructions for various sectors such as accommodation, nutrition, transportation, etc. and is ready to provide them to the Iraqi side as well."
"We are ready to work with you on providing better services to the pilgrims of the revelation land", deputy chairman of the Iraq Supreme Council of Hajj and Umrah said.
Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Razi al-Husseini called for the continuation of consultations and conferences between the Hajj groups of the two countries and also participation of other countries in order to spread awareness about holding Hajj. He also added: given the current situation, proper planning must be done to properly carrying out this divine duty. 
Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs suggested at the end of this video conference, that a joint commission consisting of Hajj experts from the two countries be formed and the experiences of both parties be used to better holding of future Hajj and provide desirable services to pilgrims.
