New appointment in the Supreme Leader Delegation Office

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Ali Khayyat was introduced as the new deputy of Supreme Leader Delegation Office in international affairs, at the meeting of Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization chaired by Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.

At the ceremony which was attended by the deputies and managers of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj Organization; the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs praised the sincere efforts of the late Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Javad Mazlumi former international deputy of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and expressed hope that Hojjat al-lslam Khayyat, considering his more than two decades of cooperation with international affairs and his background and knowledge of Supreme Leader Delegation Office activities, would be able to take a step towards the further promotion of this institution.

The representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs expressed hope that the international affairs of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office in the new era will be able to shine and play its role better than the past by using the experiences of the past, recognizing the damage and change the planning.

Stating that Hojjat al-lslam Khayyat, as a member of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office faculty, cooperated with the group; Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stressed the importance of using the international capacity of Hajj.

The new deputy of international affairs in Supreme Leader Delegation Office pointed out his plans in the field of international affairs and stated: no other duty can provide the Islamic Ummah with a set of knowledge of the duty of Hajj and revive the spirit of unity and greatness in the minds of Muslims.

He added we hope that with the cooperation and interaction of other institutions and agencies which have international activities, we will be able to make the most of Hajj international capacity in this period.

Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization chairman also expressed hope at the meeting; the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Khayyat, would be a source of good in international activities in the fields of Hajj and holy places.

"International affairs should not be limited to the field of Hajj and as a public diplomacy apparatus should provide the ground for communication between Muslims in the holy shrine and from this perspective develop Islamic unity and approximate dialogue", Mr. Rashidian added.

At the beginning of the meeting, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage, by congratulating the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH) Biʿtha and offering his condolences on the anniversary of the Imam Kazem (AS) martyrdom, said that the end of year is the time to calculate deeds and man should think in a year with all ups and downs; what did he do and if he did something wrong; ask for forgiveness.

He added: "This year was a difficult and painful year for the world of humanity, and on the other hand, efforts and innovations were made in order to achieve success despite the difficulties and problems."
