Criticism of restrictions imposed for Hajj 1400
The head of Iranian pilgrims criticized the restrictions imposed on the foreign pilgrims presence in Hajj 1400 and said: "for the second year, Iranian pilgrims were banned from attending the Hajj Congress; however, Saudi Arabia could have solved this problem with the necessary planning and forecasts.
As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab appearing on the TV program "Mesbah", which was broadcast live on the Quran and Ma'aref TV channel, described the plans and activities of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office during the Hajj week.
In the honor of ten days of Dignity and Hajj Week, he said that Hajj is very important and valuable in Islam and that is why Hajj is one of the branches of Islam. Therefore, it is necessary for people to become more familiar with the teachings and secrets of the great duty by correct and accurate introduction of it.
Referring to Saudi Arabia's decision on this year Hajj al-Tamattu’, the head of Iranian pilgrims said: "Unfortunately, foreign pilgrims this year were deprived from performing the Hajj rituals and Saudi Arabia announced that due to the outbreak of Corona virus, the ceremony was limited to 60,000 pilgrims."
He said that the Saudi Deputy Minister of Hajj, in a telephone conversation with the head of our country's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, announced that a number of foreign pilgrims residing in Saudi Arabia can participate in the Hajj ceremony and reminded that the presence of pilgrims outside Saudi Arabia is not possible for any country.
Like last year, Saudi Arabia was very reluctant to announce the Hajj and how it was conducted, while it could receive pilgrims from foreign countries on a limited basis, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, stating that the Islamic Republic of Iran had foreseen or taken all the necessary measures to send pilgrims to Hajj this year, added: "Saudi Arabia will perform Hajj this year as well as last year, without consulting Islamic countries and without responding to their requests."
This year, as last year, Saudi Arabia restricted the Hajj to its pilgrims or residents, and since no Iranians live in Saudi Arabia and our embassy in this country is closed, this year the Hajj will be held without the presence of Iranian pilgrims, he emphasized.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab described solving the problems of the Islamic world as one of the effects of performing Hajj and at the same time said: if Hajj is really an Abrahamic Hajj, then it can solve the problems of the Islamic Ummah.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, noting that "Hajj, self-improvement, cohesion, Islamic authority and defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque" has been chosen as the slogan of this year's Hajj; said the first day of Hajj week (Du Al-Qa'da 1) , which coincides with the birth of Hazrat Masumeh (as) was named as "Hajj, status and dignity of women", the second day as "Hajj, self-improvement and spirituality", the third day as "Hajj, health and wellness", the fourth day as "Hajj, Islamic resistance and the defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque ", the fifth day as" Hajj, absolution of polytheists and global arrogance "and also the sixth day named as" Hajj, wilayah (velayat) and leadership ".
In another part of his speech, he pointed to the upcoming elections and clarified: due to its high importance in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the issue of elections has always been in the focus of attention of the great founder of Revolution (RA) and his righteous successor ( Supreme Leader). Today, we must do our best to hold a glorious election, so that the people will respond to the enemies of Islamic Revolution with extensive presence at the ballot box.
