Following up the land dispatch of Iranian pilgrims to Atabat

Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization head announced the following up of land dispatch of pilgrimage caravans to Atabat-e-Aliyat.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, At the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization which was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab; chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization said: In order to reduce the cost of travel for Iranian pilgrims to Atabat-e-Aliyat, sending of pilgrim caravans to Iraq by land is being pursued.


Noting that the airlift of pilgrims to Iraq from different provinces continues, Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian added: The number of provinces that have been activated in the framework of new plan for sending pilgrims to the holy shrine has increased and we are pursuing to facilitate the provision of tickets from airlines for caravans through pilgrimage offices.


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also considered at this meeting the rapid activation of provinces and pilgrimage offices in attracting and sending pilgrims as one of the important axes in the success of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization's new plan, added: This organization should plan and act in such a way as not to impose additional costs on the pilgrim, especially in the matter of flight.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stressed the need to protect dignity and security of Iranian pilgrims and, considering the dispatches in the form of free caravans to the holy shrines, asked the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to fulfill its oversight duty in order to protect the rights of pilgrims.


The meeting was continued by the head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center of Iranian Red Crescent Society Dr. Seyyed Ali Marashi's report regarding the medical services to pilgrims in the clinics of this center in the cities of Karbala, Najaf and Kadhimiya.


According to this report, during the meeting, Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Akbar Rezaei and Director General of Planning, Program, Information Technology and Cyberspace Security Office of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Mehran Farshid reported on the actions and plans of this organization regarding the upcoming Hajj, Umrah and the pursuit of the Smart Hajj plan by Saudi Arabia.


In addition to forming specialized commissions, scheduling vaccinations and training forces and agents, initial measures have been taken in the Hajj Organization to hold the next Hajj and we are waiting for the announcement of Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, Mr. Rezaei stated.


Mr. Rashidian also emphasized: If the Saudi side fulfills the demands of the Islamic Republic of Iran regarding Umrah, there is a possibility of sending Iranian Umrah Pilgrims.


According to the report, the representative of the Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs also advised the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to provide the necessary information about the upcoming Hajj, how to hold Umrah and Saudi actions in the field of smart Hajj, and plan for changes that have taken place or are taking place in each area to keep things up to date.
