Unity, Main Issue of Muslim World Today

 

Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarded Muslim unity as the main issue of the Islamic world.

 Addressing a number of the country’s high-ranking officials, participants in the International Islamic Unity Conference and groups of people on Sunday, January 19, Ayatollah Khamenei added that the future of the Muslim Ummah is bright in the light of unity, awareness and Islamic Awakening.

His Eminence began his address by extending congratulations to all Muslims on the auspicious occasion of the birthday of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) and Imam Sadeq (AS).

The Supreme Leader underlined that Muslim nations should strive to create intellectual freedom and find their way to the freedom sought by Islam through political independence, establishment of popular governments, establishment of religious democracy and moving based on the Islamic Sharia.

His Eminence regarded the conspiracies of Islam’s enemies to prevent the true freedom and salvation of the Muslim Ummah as complicated and multidimensional and said fomenting discord among Muslims is the basis of the world arrogance’s ploys.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the 65-year efforts to impose the fake Zionist regime on Muslim nations as an example of the arrogant attempts by the US government and other bullying governments of the world, stressing that the 33-day war in Lebanon and the 22-day and 8-day wars in Gaza proved that Muslim nations have safeguarded the identity and existence of Palestine with vigilance.   

His Eminence added that giving rise to Takfiri and extremist ideologies was one of the main attempts of the enemies of Islam to make the Muslim Ummah forget the issue of Palestine.

The Supreme Leader regretted that some Takfiris, instead of focusing their attention on the Zionist regime, Takfir Muslims (regarded some Muslims as infidels) and prepare the ground for conflicts and violence and disunity.

Ayatollah Khamenei referred to awakening and awareness as the only path to the salvation of the Muslim Ummah and stressed that Muslim countries can bring about dignity and preeminence through unity and solidarity.

Elsewhere in his statements, the Supreme Leader described the victory of the Islamic Revolution of Iran and the establishment of the pattern of Islamic Republic despite 35 years of conspiracies against it as a sign of a bright future for the Islamic Ummah.

“With the grace of God, the Iranian nation and the Islamic Establishment will become stronger, more deep-rooted and more powerful day after day,” His Eminence stressed.
