Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Hajj trip; divine blessing and gift

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, In the educational conference of Hajj 1401, which was held in the 12,000-seat Azadi Stadium in Tehran on Friday ( 6^th Khordad) with the presence of Ebrahimi Hajj pilgrims from Tehran province; Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab asked pilgrims pay attention to the key points of the philosophy of Hajj.

Referring to the two-year break in Hajj ritual due to the corona pandemic and the restrictions imposed on holding hajj this year, he described the luck of participating in this year's Hajj as a very valuable asset for pilgrims, which many Hajj applicants were deprived. Some of the applicants died before their turn was reach, and they did not go to the hajj.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab considered absolute obedience of God Almighty as the key and secret of Hajj success and said: If the man does not perform Hajj for God, has lost this valuable opportunity and capital.

Stating that on the current situation, about 1.2 million people are waiting for the Hajj; he added: departure of this number of applicants may take up to 15 years, and this should be a reminder for this year's Hajj pilgrims to make the best use of this divine opportunity.

Advising the pilgrims to stay away from egoism and splendor of the world, he asked them to pay attention to the direct impact of halal property in Hajj and to purify their own finances. Worship that is not accompanied by Halal property will not be accepted.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also emphasized on the importance of choosing companion for Hajj, and warned pilgrims against being lax in performing Hajj rituals and said: It is narrated that Martyr Dastgheib performed Tawaf during the Hajj ceremony so much that his legs blistered, and when he was asked why he did not have mercy on himself, he said that he would not have such a divine opportunity again and that he wanted to pay attention to it all the moment.

Advising the pilgrims to increase the threshold of their tolerance and self-sacrifice, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs asked them to be the servants of pilgrims and help others all the times.

He considered "thinking" as a key point of taking advantage of this divine opportunity and stated: thinking about Hajj and its philosophy and the history of the land is very effective. It is very important that our morals and behavior correspond to the Holy Prophet and the Imams who were once in the same position, and how much we try to behave like our religious leaders and emulate their behavior with family and people.

Referring to the presence of clerics in caravans to serve the pilgrims, called them the top clerics among the Islamic countries present in the Hajj rituals who have many experiences and have passed many courses to meet the religious needs of the pilgrims.

He considered the treatment of Iranian pilgrims with Sunni brothers and sisters from other Islamic countries as well as the host country very important and said: considering the number of countries whose pilgrims are present at the Hajj, the host country's regulations must be fully observed.

Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs, referring to this year's Hajj slogan and its emphasis on self-improvement, cohesion, Islamic authority and defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque, called it very progressive, strategic and artistic and added: defending Al-Aqsa Mosque, which has been subjected to many conspiracies these days, is a religious duty of all Muslims in the world.
