Grand Shia scholar Nouri Hamedani urges unity of Muslim World

Speaking to reporters at the Baku airport, he called for religious scholars' movement to encourage Muslim nations to unity.

Ayatollah Nouri Hamedani paid a visit to Azerbaijan Republic upon invitation of Azeri Ulema, elites and scholars.

The Grand Ayatollah arrived in Baku on Monday morning for a 6-day visit.

The Ayatollah is scheduled to meet with Azeri Ulema, scholars and elites and will visit a number of religious and scientific centers.
Azerbaijan Republic has a population of 10 million 95 percent of whom are Muslims.
