Basij Week Commemorated at Presence of Hajj and Pilgrimage Officials
Basij week commemoration ceremony was held at the presence of officials and employees of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
According to Hajj Information Base, the Basij week commemoration ceremony was held on Wednesday in the presence of Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Seyed Sadeq Hosseini, a group of deputies and directors of the Hajj Organization and Pilgrimage Organization and Supreme Leader’s Representative Office, as well as employees of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
In this ceremony, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab in his speech congratulated the arrival of Basij week, pointed out some passages from the statements of late Imam Khomeini and the Supreme Leader about the characteristics of Basij and Basijis, and said, “Each of these features are very precise points that It is expressed with an expert view and there is a religion of meaning behind it.”
He added that Imam Khomeini said that his pride was that he himself myself am a Basij, and in the behavior, performance, lifestyle and demeanor of the supreme leader, there is also love for the Basij and being a Basiji.
He referred to this statement of the Imam Khomeini who said “Basij is the sincere army of God" and while explaining the concept of sincerity, he stated: Basij is a people of sincerity, and if it deviates from the characteristics of Basij, it is no longer Basij.
He said Gabriel, in response to the Prophet of Islam (PBUH) who asked about sincerity, said that The first condition of sincerity is that a person has self-respect.
Stating that Gabriel further refers to contentment and self-sacrifice, he added, Basiji is content and does not extend its hand in need except to God and sacrifices his life.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated that in other words, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that a sincere person has a healthy heart, which means he submits to the Almighty, and God also helps such a person.
He pointed out that Imam Ali (AS) says in the 56th sermon of Nahj al-Balagha: “When God saw our sincerity, He sent down repression after our enemy, and He sent down victory upon us.”
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: He said that Basijis are present today without any intention to defend the security and protect the life, honor and property of the people.
He added that all the members and jewels of Basiji submit to God's command, he is a good person and his good reaches the society, as he is present in the scene during floods and earthquakes, coronavirus and religious aid and today in the face of riots.
He pointed to examples of Basij's spirit in today's conditions of the country and said that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that a sincere person is not a person of evil and does not harm others and is willing to be harmed but not harmed to the people.
He added: Imam Ali (As) also said: "Whoever makes the intention pure, stays away from evil."
According to the report, in the continuation of this ceremony, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in a speech mentioned the Commander of the Faithful Imam Ali (AS) as the first Basiji of the Islamic world and referring to the presence of the Basij in various social, academic, cultural, military and... He said: Basij has been present and played its role in every field that the Islamic revolution has needed.
He added: "Basij's name has been associated with the name of the Imam of the Ummah in the Islamic Revolution, and it has been associated with anonymity, working with sincerity, volunteering, and sacrifice."
According to this report, in this event, a clip of the presence of the Basij fighters in recent events was broadcast and the attendees remembered the sacrifices and efforts of the Basij fighters in various arenas.
