Hajj and Pilgrimage Officials Review Main Points of Talks with Saudi side on Next Hajj
During the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held with the presence of the Hajj officials, the main points of the initial negotiations between the Hajj officials and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah regarding Hajj 1402 were reviewed.
According to the Hajj information base, the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Supreme Leader's Representative Office and the Organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage was held today under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage and the head of Iranian pilgrims.
During the meeting, Mr. Akbar Rezaei, Deputy Head of Hajj and Umrah Affairs of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, reported on the topics of the webinar held with the officials of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia on Sunday (December 4) in order to make the necessary arrangements and plan for the best possible Hajj 1402.
He emphasized that in the meeting, the summary of the working groups regarding the implementation issues of Hajj and the services provided to the pilgrims of Iran was relayed to the Saudi side, and the proposals of the Iranian side were presented and decided on the points in relation to the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah should follow up and respect the rights of the pilgrims with the services of Iranian Pilgrims Company.
"Following this meeting, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization will participate in a conference that will be held in Jeddah in January with the presence of representatives of more than 50 countries, and a memorandum of understanding for the future Hajj will be signed by the officials of the two countries.
In the continuation of this meeting, the Head of Iranian Pilgrimage positively evaluated the actions taken in connection with the best possible holding of Hajj 1402 and providing suitable services for the Iranian Hajj pilgrims and asked the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the Supreme Leader's representative to take the lead by holding a consensus meeting on the points raised to summarize the previous day's negotiations so that the Iranian delegation can attend the meeting in Jeddah with better and more preparedness.
Based on this report, in the meeting, Mr. Rezaei also reported on the participation of Saudi hoteliers in the call made in Arabia to provide housing in Mecca and Medina and the follow-up regarding the future Hajj flight operations, and statistics of the average age of more than 37,000 who have remained from the registration of Hajj 99 presented.
The Supreme Leader's representative also emphasized that with the aim of reducing the Hajj brokerage per capita, planning for the use of pilgrims who are ready to cooperate in executive and cultural fields should be prioritized so that more pilgrims can be sent for the future Hajj.
This meeting continued with the report of Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani, Deputy Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for Atabat Affairs, regarding the dispatches of this period to Iraq until mid-December.
Referring to the capacity-making for sending more than 90,000 pilgrims by the executive companies of the country, he said that so far, more than 67 thousand people have registered in land and air caravans and according to the registration process, It seems that the remaining capacity will be completed within the next few days.
He added: In the previous period, about 57,000 people were sent to Atabat and all the created capacity was used.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also underlined the need to provide continuous and regular reports through the offices of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in the provinces regarding the dispatches of each period and to encourage those involved in the provinces who have performed better.
