During Head of Iranian Pilgrims' Visit to Violet Hotel in Mecca; Advice of a doctor and Suggestions and Complaints of Some Pilgrims

Pilgrims of one of the big hotels in Mecca while appreciating the efforts of the officials of Hajj operations, demanded to pay attention to the facilities of the hotels during next year's Hajj.

According to Hajj Information Base, "Violet" hotel is one of the largest and most populated hotels where Iranian pilgrims stay in Mecca, where about 3500 pilgrims from 22 provinces of the country stay.

Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab, Head of Iranian Pilgrims, along with Seyed Abbas Hosseini, Head of Iran's Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, visited this hotel and met with Iranian pilgrims.

During this visit, the head of the Iranian pilgrims first went to the hotel restaurant, where a large number of pilgrims were having lunch, and in a conversation with the Supreme Leader's representative, they expressed their satisfaction with the food conditions.

While in previous visits, a number of pilgrims of other hotels asked the head of Iranian pilgrims to take measures against extravagance in food consumption, in this hotel, a pilgrim asked the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization to increase the amount of food.

A pilgrim from Tabriz, who was also a doctor, in his conversation for a few minutes with Hojjat al-Islam Navvab brought up the elimination of soft drinks from meals, especially for heart patients and diabetics. He also demanded to consider a separate food plan for this group of patients.

While giving an explanation, the head of the Iranian Hajj pilgrims pointed out that the services are suitable for the presence of about 90,000 people and asked this doctor to present his solution and proposal to the officials of Hajj and pilgrimage.

One of the problems raised by the assistants at the Violet Hotel was the lack of space to provide services and answer religious questions of female pilgrims, and the head of Iranian pilgrims urged the hotel manager to fix this problem so that they can serve the women more calmly.

Visiting a round-the-clock clinic and a clinic with 16-hour daily activity was another part of the presence of the head of Iranian pilgrims and the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in this hotel, which was accompanied by the presence of Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center.

In this visit, one of the doctors who was on his shift stated that he had made more than 70 visits from 4 am to 8 am. Also, some pilgrims who were nurses worked as volunteers to provide services to patients, especially injections for women in this medical center.

A number of pilgrims also complained that their flight was a few days earlier to Iran, and demanded that the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization look into this issue and return the amount paid for those few days.

One of the problems of the pilgrims of the Violet Hotel was the lack of an elevator due to the high volume of its pilgrims, and they asked to pay attention to this problem in the selection of hotels next year in a conversation with Hojjat al-Islam Navvab and Seyed Abbas Hosseini.

The officials of the Hajj operation also provided the necessary explanation about the selection of hotels and the restrictions that exist in this field and emphasized that such suggestions will be considered in the future Hajj.
