Hojjat al-Islam Navvab: Pilgrims Are Iran's Assets
The Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Abdolfattah Navvab addressing the Iranian Sunni clerics during the 1403 Hajj, expressed the opinions and complaints of the pilgrims regarding some decisions concerning the transfer and accommodation of Iranian pilgrims in Mashaer and stressed that Pilgrims "are all our capital".
According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, who is also head of Iranian pilgrims while speaking among the Sunni clerics of the 1403 Hajj convoys in Mecca honored the memory of the martyrs of Bloody Friday of Mecca who were martyred in 1366, and said, "Regarding the issue of transferring Iranian pilgrims to Arafat and performing rituals, last year the pilgrims' opinions and complaints were conveyed to the Hajj officials of the host country, and this year they were also requested to manage all of them in this process in a comprehensive manner.
"Due to the location of Iranian pilgrims' accommodation in the east of Mina and the presence of a caravan in Rami Jamarat in the west of Mina, the duty of the noon prayer of Eid al-Adha will be postponed. Although this year due to the extreme heat, umbrellas have been prepared for the pilgrims, but it is necessary to facilitate and provide access to drinking water facilities along the route so that the pilgrims do not get heatstroke," he added.
The head of Iranian pilgrims stated: "Pilgrims are our capital and we are trying to ensure that their practices and rituals are performed correctly. Now that the knowledge level of people in the society has increased, thank God our Sunni clerics are also at a very good level in terms of knowledge and we will take the necessary measures for the growth of our loved ones."
He emphasized the unity and cohesion between Shiites and Sunnis as an example, even though many tried to destroy the unity between us, but the spiritual dear ones of Shiites and Sunnis prevented this. "With the cooperation of the host country, we hope to hold elections for the first time during Hajj this year while preserving the dignity of the people, and the pilgrims will vote for their favorite candidate as the president."
