Head of Iranian Pilgrims: Unity of Sunni and Shia Scholars in Iran Is Exemplary

In a meeting with a group of scholars and clerics of Sunni caravans in Mecca, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs described the unity, empathy and harmony between Sunni and Shiite scholars of Iran as exemplary.

According to the Hajj Information Base, in this meeting, which was attended by Maulvi Is'haq Madani, the head and members of the Ahl al-Sunni Afta Council, the cultural and international assistants and the director of Ahl al-Sunni Affairs of the Supreme Leader's Mission, the scholars present at the meeting said they were aware of the conditions and facilities created for Sunni pilgrims and appreciated the more convenient access to Masjid al-Haram for facilitating attendance at congregational prayers and pilgrimages.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, Head of Iranian Pilgrims, also pointed to the positive effects of the unity of Muslims, and considered the unity and empathy formed in Islamic Iran as a model for other Muslim nations and countries and a solution to confront enemies.


Referring to the crimes of the regime of killing children and drawing blood from the body parts in the Gaza Strip and the disgust of the Islamic Ummah for these crimes, he expressed hope that the prayers of the Hajj pilgrims will bring about the victory of the Islamic Ummah in Palestine.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out the role of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in expanding and paying attention to spiritual values ​​around the world and said, "With this victory, the trend towards religion and spirituality increased in the world and moved people."


He clarified that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution have paid special attention to the issue of unity of Muslims in Hajj in the messages and orders issued to their representatives in Hajj and pilgrimage, and "we should all try to strengthen this path".


The head of the Iranian pilgrims stated that programs such as the honoring of the servants of God, etc., which are held in the tents of Iranian pilgrims during the days of Tashreeq, cannot be seen in the tents of other countries.


"According to some points raised by the attendees about the establishment of Hajj schools in different provinces, how pilgrims are accommodated during Hajj and Umrah, as well as the presence of doctors during Hajj and its difference from the past, the existence of some deficiencies in Arafat and Mina with and the existence of various suggestions and solutions to the host country were explained and at the same time, some weaknesses and defects still exist because the conditions of this country are different, although Saudi Arabia has done many things for Hajj, but action should be taken to fix these deficiencies," he added.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab pointed out that compared to the last few decades of Iranian Hajj this year, the lowest number of agents have been sent to Hajj compared to the number of pilgrims although a significant distance has been created with the past.


He added that 900,000 people are still waiting for Hajj and it is no longer possible to use agents like in the past decades.


According to this report, at the beginning of this meeting, which was held in an atmosphere full of sincerity and empathy, Hojjat al-Islam Hadi Akbari, the Sunni director of the delegation of the Supreme Leader, in a report, considered the enthusiastic presence of Sunni scholars in the delegation of the Supreme Leader as an example of religious brotherhood and brotherhood. 


"There is no other way to realize the new Islamic civilization desired by the Supreme Leader, and in Islamic Iran, thanks to the guidance of the Imam of the Ummah and the Supreme Leader, Shia and Sunni are working together to protect the principle of Islam and confront the enemies. They are the religion of God, and we saw an example of this in this year's Hajj on the day of Arafat and in the desert of Arafat, in holding the ceremony of acquittal in the tents of Shiite and Sunni pilgrims," he added.
