Hojjat Al-Islam Navvab: Hajj Authorities Should Inform Pilgrims About Different Fields
Head of Iranian pilgrims asked the officials of the Hajj and Pilgrimage area in Mecca to convey the necessary information to the pilgrims by timely notification in different areas.
According to the Hajj Information Base, the meeting of the Planning and Coordination Council of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the delegation of the Supreme Leader was held under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab in Mecca, and the latest reports in the fields of executive, aviation, medicine, housing and how to hold the presidential elections in Saudi Arabia were presented.
At the beginning of this meeting, Iran's Consul General in Saudi Arabia, Hassan Zarnegar while referring to the follow-ups and negotiations with the officials of the host country in Tehran and Saudi Arabia regarding the holding of the presidential elections, stated: "For the holding of elections in the cities of Mecca and Medina and the political agencies of our country, preparations for necessary requirements have been provided, but so far only the establishment of ballot boxes in the embassy and consulate of our country in Saudi Arabia is unimpeded.
After presenting the report of the Consul General of Iran in Jeddah, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab while pointing out that it is the first time that the presence of Iranian pilgrims in Hajj coincided with the presidential election, asked the Consul General of Iran in Jeddah to follow up to obtain The agreement of the pilgrims to vote in the elections so that the pilgrims are not deprived of participation in determining the fate of their country and do not return to the country with a bitter memory.
"The Islamic Iran and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are two large countries in the region and neighbors and influential in the world. In addition, Saudi Arabia is very important for Iran. They have been in this land, we share in joy and sorrow, and for such programs, different delegations are present in the two countries. As a servant of pilgrims, I consider this event (holding elections with the participation of pilgrims) to the benefit of both countries and as an example of service to pilgrims, and efforts are being made not to have any appearance outside the hotel or any trouble on the host country," he added.
He pointed out that in many other countries, they allow travelers and tourists to participate in their country's elections, and said that the permission to hold elections does not cost Saudi Arabia and leaves a happy memory in the pilgrim's mind.
In the continuation of this meeting, Gholamreza Rezaei, Hajj and Umrah deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, pointed out that nearly 25% of the pilgrims will return to their homeland by this morning, and the 7th and 8th of Muharram are the expected times for the last flights from Madinah and Jeddah airports to Iran said.
The meeting continued with the report of Sheikh Akbari, head of IRIB's Hajj and Pilgrimage Headquarters, on how to cover and reflect Hajj operations in various national media networks, and Mohammad Masoumi, representative of the airline, on the return process of pilgrims to the country.
Regarding the strictness in the host country to remove the liquids that are placed in the luggage and bags of the pilgrims, the representative of the airline clarified that the airline has not created any restrictions in this regard, but this is the method and instruction that is implemented in the host country and is necessary. "Pilgrims should be informed as much as possible to avoid putting any liquids in their luggage."
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also asked the people involved in the implementation of Hajj operations to make proper planning and arrangements for the proper transfer of Zamzam water to the country, which is insisted by a number of pilgrims.
In the continuation of this meeting, Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi pointed out the increase in visits of pilgrims in the two cities of Mecca and Medina to the centers and clinics of this center, pointing out that currently 44 patients are hospitalized in the Red Crescent Hospital and 25 others are hospitalized in Saudi hospitals. They announced the death toll of Hajj so far at 22.
Pointing out that 8 patients in Saudi hospitals are using artificial respiration devices, he added that so far, nearly 50 patients have been transported to Iran by flights to Tehran.
At the end of this meeting, Javad Mollahassani, the person in charge of housing for Hajj operations, also reported about the comprehensive accommodation system that is in operation with the aim of organizing the accommodation and rental processes of hotels and pointed out the use of its operational bank in this year's Hajj, and at the same time he said: This big project has not reached 100% utilization yet.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also gave recommendations regarding the focus on accommodation operations and stressed that the management and guidance of the matter should be in such a way that pilgrims can use this system to choose their accommodation.
