First group of Iranian Umrah pilgrims left for Mecca

The first group of Iranian umrah pilgrims in 1403, after visiting the shrine of the Prophet (PBUH) and imams of Baqi (PBUH), put on Ihram clothes to visit the house of God and went to Mecca.

According to the Hajj information base, the Iranian Umrah pilgrims in 1403, who dispatched to the Land of Revelation from Imam Khomeini (RA) airport on 28th Shahrivar, after five days of staying in Medina and visiting the shrines of Prophet (PBUH), the imams of Baqi and the martyrs of Uhud, Last night put on white Ihram clothes and left for Mecca.


Pilgrims of Umrah caravans from Kermanshah and Tehran, wearing Ihram clothes, with the intention of performing Umrah rituals, left their worldly clothes and put on the clothes of Ihram.


Iranian Umrah pilgrims from the Shajareh Mosque, one of the seven miqats, left for the Kaaba in a spiritual atmosphere, convoying by the officials of Supreme Leader's Delegation Office in Medina and Mecca.


A group of pilgrims from Kurdistan province also went to Mecca earlier and this group of pilgrims were the first caravans of Iranian pilgrims who dispatched to Mecca during Umrah 1403.


Shajareh Mosque, also called Dhul-Halifa Mosque, is one of the historical mosques of Medina region, which is located eight kilometers southwest of Masjid Al-Nabi and on the way to Mecca. This mosque is the miqat of those who go from Medina to Mecca for Umrah Tamattu and Umrah Mufradeh.


The Shajareh Mosque is considered one of the largest and most beautiful mosques in Medina, after the Prophet's Mosque. This mosque currently has 26,000 square meters of infrastructure, which, including additional facilities, reaches 90,000 square meters.


According to this report, at this stage of expeditions, the Iranian Umrah caravans stay in Medina for five days, and during this time, while visiting the Prophet's Mosque and the Prophet's shrine, they visit Imam Hassan Mojtaba, Imam Sajjad, Imam Muhammad Baqir and Imam Jafar Sadiq (AS) in Baqi and also worship and visit the historical places of this holy city.


This report indicates that this group of Iranian Umrah caravans entered the Mecca Monday morning (Shahrivar 2th).


With the transfer of the first caravans of Umrah pilgrims from Medina to Mecca, from now on, around 500 Iranian pilgrims will go to Masjid Al-Haram wearing white Ihram clothes after a 5-day stay in the city of Prophet.


In the first phase, about 90,000 Iranian pilgrims will be sent to the Land of Revelation with the Islamic Republic of Iran Airlines (Homa) to perform Umrah rituals.


According to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, about 170,000 Iranian pilgrims are expected to go to the Land of Revelation in the Umrah season 1403, and this number will increase if more flights are allocated.
