Follow-up on Umrah flight delays

Considering flight delays as the most important current issue, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: after arriving in Saudi Arabia, I immediately had a phone conversation with the chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization and emphasized that the flight issue should be resolved in coordination with the Minister of Roads and Urban Development and First Vice President so that pilgrims do not have any problems in this regard.

According to the Hajj Information base, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab attended at the Kumail prayer ceremony on Thursday evening (Dey 20) along with a group of Baitullah al-Haram pilgrims at Balad al-Tayeb Hotel in Mecca. Referring to the activities of 17 organizations and ministries to implement Hajj and Umrah programs, he said at the ceremony that this matter also requires cooperation between Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center in the host country.

*Iran has the cheapest Hajj and the highest welfare services for pilgrims*

Stating that services for Iranian pilgrims are cheaper than those for other countries’ pilgrims, head of the Iranian pilgrims added: we have seen the other countries’ services for their pilgrims, and we know that some countries do not provide services for pilgrims at this level and do not provide services for their comfort and nutrition.

Some countries also rent hotels 24 hours for three groups in a day, and pilgrims must respectively, spend 16 hours in the Masjid al-Haram, he said.

*Using capacity of pilgrims for Hajj services*

Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also said that in the last Hajj, the capacity of pilgrims was used to provide services, and for example, if there was a doctor among the pilgrims, he would proudly accept to provide medical services to other pilgrims.

*The impact of oppressive sanctions on pilgrims' flights*

Head of the Iranian pilgrims also referred to the oppressive sanctions against our country and said: This is a reality that Imam Khomeini has said: to shout whatever you want at arrogance and this is one of the examples of this issue, if these sanctions did not exist, the best planes would be available for the best servants of God.
