Hajj and pilgrimage officials visit the largest kitchen for Iranian pilgrims at the Atabat
1.8 million meals during 11 months
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, along with head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Alireza Bayat and a group of our country's Hajj and Pilgrimage officials who are in Najaf Ashraf visited Al-Ghadir Kitchen, the largest centralized kitchen in Iraq and the most extensive center for cooking and distributing food for Iranian pilgrims in the Atabat-e-Aliyat.
According to the Hajj Information base, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, Alireza Bayat and the accompanying delegation, who traveled to Iraq to review the latest planning process for pilgrimage trips to the Atabat during the holy months of Ramadan and Nowruz, visited various sections of the Al-Ghadir Kitchen.
Al-Ghadir Kitchen has cooked and distributed more than 1.8 million meals for Iranian pilgrims over the past 11 months, not counting the Arbaeen days. According to officials, more than 40,000 meals are cooked and distributed daily during Arbaeen with the help of jihadist groups at the kitchen.
In this kitchen, which operates under the supervision of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, 18 executive staff, including cooks, nutrition and health supervisors, and an Iranian manager, serve Iranian pilgrims to holy sites.
During the visit, the Iranian director of this kitchen provided the necessary explanations to those involved in Hajj and pilgrimage regarding the method of cooking and distributing food to Iranian pilgrims. Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also offered advice on improving the process of cooking and distributing food, while also saying, don't be tired, and be patient.
