The space of Kufa Mosque expands in four directions for better services to pilgrims

Ali Sahib Al-Jabouri, custodian of the Holy Mosque of Kufa, told Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs that the mosque will be expanded in four directions to serve pilgrims more.

According to the Hajj Information base, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, along with head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Alireza Bayat met and discussed to Ali Sahib Al-Jabouri, custodian of the Holy Mosque of Kufa.

Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stated at the beginning of this meeting: given the approaching holy month of Ramadan and Nowruz, it is expected that the number of Iranian pilgrims to Atabat will increase, and for this reason, possible shortcomings must be addressed with the aim of providing better services to pilgrims.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab noted that “Every time we come to Iraq, we become more hopeful than the previous time, because, thank God, good development plans are underway in most of Iraq’s holy places.”

The Custodian of the Holy Mosque of Kufa also confirmed the issue about this mosque and said that a plan is being implemented to physically expand this mosque in all four directions, north, south, east and west of the mosque, so that pilgrims, especially during the days of Arbaeen of Imam Hossein (AS), will be provided with better services from the servants and problems will be minimized.

Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs told the custodian of the Holy Mosque of Kufa that if there are any points regarding Iranian pilgrims that should be taken into consideration, he should raise them.

In response, Mr. Ali Sahib Al-Jabouri highly praised the behavior of the Iranian pilgrims and said that there is no point except to ask all of them not to forget their servants in their prayers.

Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, along with head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Alireza Bayat and accompanying delegation traveled to Iraq with the aim of assessing the situation of Iranian pilgrims and addressing issues related to providing services to them.

Every year during Nowruz and holy months such as Ramadan, a large number of Iranians travel to Iraq to visit holy sites. This year, with the coincidence of Nowruz and the holy month of Ramadan, it is expected that the number of Iranian pilgrims in Atabat-e-Aliyat will increase compared to previous years.

Before the trip, Mr. Alireza Bayat, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, told a reporter from the Hajj Information center that the delegation had reviewed the services to pilgrims at the Atabat and would take action to eliminate any possible shortcomings and deficiencies.

He pointed out that during this trip he will meet with high-ranking Iraqi officials in the field of pilgrimage, and noted that the goal of these measures and trips is to further facilitate the provision of services to Iranian pilgrims.
