Umrah operation ends with two flights to Kerman and Bandar Abbas
Umrah operation ends today with the transfer of 240 Iranian pilgrims from the Land of Revelation to Kerman and Bandar Abbas, it was announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader's Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization.
According to the Hajj Information base, announcing the issue, the CEO of the Umrah Saadat Institute added: "We do not have sick or imprisoned Umrah pilgrims in Saudi Arabia, and compensation has been paid to pilgrims who did not use the Haramain train, and compensation for delays outside of the flight contract is also being paid. The meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader's Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
Emphasizing that respecting and defending the rights of pilgrims is a true action, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also emphasized that pathology analysis of Umrah operation in 1403 should be conducted before sending Umrah pilgrims, and new plans should be presented in order to provide better services.
Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Mr. Alireza Bayat also emphasized that the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization is trustworthy for the pilgrims and wants their rights to be fulfilled, and noted the need to use the experiences of other countries.
Head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization said: although the priority of Hajj and Pilgrimage organization is to use domestic companies for Umrah flights, but it will take action to provide flights according to the schedule.
In the continuation of this meeting, Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj organization announced the receipt of 24,000 electronic visa numbers for Hajj 1404 pilgrims within 12 days and said: this year, in cooperation with the provincial representative offices, 85,850 Visa for pilgrims and agents will be received.
Dispatch of the upcoming Hajj pilgrim caravans to Medina will begin on Ordibehesht 15th , and the last flight “Medina after” to the Land of Revelation will take place on Khordad 10th , Mr. Akbar Rezaei added.
Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Hossein Rukn al-Dini, cultural deputy of Supreme Leader's Delegation Office, reported at the meeting about the last coordination meeting of the Maraji’ houses representatives with the Hajj and pilgrimage officials in Qom. Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi, deputy of the Hajj organization in management and resources development also reported on the planning carried out regarding the dispatch of a female assistant. Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs also emphasized the need to hold a briefing meeting for this group so that they are fully informed about their responsibilities and duties in the caravans and the type of services they should provide to pilgrims.
At the end of this meeting, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center said that more than 204,500 pilgrims had visited during the Umrah operation and announced the number of deaths in Mecca and Medina as 36.
Dr. Seyed Ali Marashi also reported on the medical examinations of Hajj 1404 pilgrims and said: this year, as of last year, the services of medical and nursing pilgrims who will depart for the Land of Revelation with the Hajj and pilgrimage caravans and who have expressed their readiness to cooperate will be used. The services of doctors and nurses who will be sent with the Hajj and pilgrimage caravans to the Land of Revelation and have expressed their readiness to cooperate will be utilized.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also asked head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center to conduct an expert study on the number of Umrah pilgrims visiting medical centers in Medina and Mecca, and take necessary measures to access basic information about the health status of Umrah pilgrims in order to improve the quality of services during the upcoming Umrah.
