Kumail prayer of Iranian pilgrims in Mecca in the presence of Hojjat al-Islam Navvab
The last, most gracious and magnificent Kumail prayer of Iranian pilgrims of Baitullah al-Haram before the days of Tashreeq (presence in Arafat, Mashar al-Haram and Mina) was held in the presence of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab at the Arkan Bakkah Hotel in Mecca.
According to the Hajj Information base, at the ceremony, which was also attended by Dr. Alireza Bayat, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization, Dr. Zarnegar, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Jeddah, and a group of directors and deputies of Supreme Leader Mission and Hajj Headquarters, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab referring to the question of many pilgrims as to what is the best prayer or action during these days? Then he referred to verse 197 of Surah Al-Baqarah, which deals with the days of Hajj and some actions during it, and said: this time and this place are the best time and place to take provisions for the Hereafter and the Resurrection, and the best provisions are piety, which protects a person from sin.
Referring to the next verse of Surah Al-Baqarah (verse 198), he said: this verse is related to the remembrance of God; remember God, since the best of deeds is the remembrance of God and being mindful of God.
Referring to new technologies and modern communication tools that have facilitated communication, head of the pilgrims said: these new tools have created some conveniences, but they also bring some difficulties; and the difficulty is the possibility of neglecting the remembrance of God. These tools should be used as needed and necessary, but if they make a person busy with themselves and cause neglecting God, it is definitely a case of damage.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated the third recommendation for the days of Hajj in Mecca, based on the verses of Quran, to remember and pray for children, and said: after building the Kaaba, Prophet Ibrahin also asked God to send a prophet from his family, and this reminds us the importance of paying attention to and praying for children.
He also mentioned the importance of "repentance" from sins, as one of the most important things to do during the Hajj and at the House of God, and by recalling the story of Abu Lubaba, he emphasized that love for children should not lead to betrayal of God and the Prophet, and neglecting God.
At the end, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also urged the pilgrims to learn the rituals of Hajj well and to serve other pilgrims as much as they can, so that they may both receive the reward of the pilgrimage and Hajj and be considered servants of the pilgrims in the sight of God.
