Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs upon arriving Medina, appreciated for the cooperation of Saudi and Iraqi countries in returning Iranian pilgrims to Mecca.
According to Hajj Information Base, on Thursday, Tir 5th, upon his arrival in Medina, Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab addressed members of Supreme Leader Mission and Medina headquarters, referred to the victory of the Islamic Front over the Zionist enemy and arrogance, and said: thank God Almighty that the aggression of the criminal regime, whose hands are stained with the blood of the oppressed and children, has failed.
This victory was achieved by the grace of God Almighty and brought joy to the Islamic world, especially the oppressed people of Palestine, and to all free people of the world, he added.
During this trip, we remembered the oppressed people of Gaza who are under food embargo and bombardment by the Zionist regime. We asked God Almighty to punish the arrogant and tyrants of the world and allow the Palestinian people to return to their lands, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said.
Referring to the successful holding of this year's Hajj, head of the Iranian pilgrims said: this success is due to the efforts of the servants and various factors who have devoted themselves wholeheartedly to serving the pilgrims.
Iran has good friends in the world, and Islamic countries are cooperating with each other as a union. This includes Saudi Arabia, which hosts the guests of the House of God and, given the cruel sanctions and currency problems, as well as the special conditions that faced Iranian pilgrims on their way back, has fully cooperated with Iranian pilgrims, which is worthy of appreciation, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized.
Referring to the return of pilgrims via the land route to Iraq, he said: "The unforeseen plan for the return of pilgrims via the Iraqi route is also being carried out with the efforts of Iranian servants as well as officials of the friendly and neighboring country of Iraq, and while thanking them, we hope that all pilgrims will return to their homeland in good health."
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs announced the limited start of direct air travel to our country and said: by decision of the country's highest institutions, flights to some provinces of our country have begun directly from Saudi Arabia, and we hope that this process will soon expand to all provinces of the country.
At the end of his speech, Hojjat al-slam Navvab referred to the arrival of the new lunar month and Muharram and said: the month of Muharram is associated with the remembrance of Imam Hossein, and we hope that we can all be the true followers of the Holy Prophet of Islam and her Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
