2020 Hajj Recall Will Soon be Issued

In the session convened by Planning and Cooperation Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, it was provided that the 2020 Hajj Recall will soon be issued for registration of pilgrims.

As reported by Hajj Information Base, Representative of the IRI’s Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab expressed his condolences on the occasion of Fatemieh Decade and martyrdom of the Major General Qasem Soleimani in the session convened by Planning and Cooperation Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization. He further stated that: “This great martyr and his comrades sacrificed their blood in the route of the Almighty God and Islamic ideals; they made every effort to safeguard the Islamic System and Revolution.”


He added that: “Appearance of Iranian and Iraqi people in the funeral ceremonies of the Major General Qasem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, and the companions will leave a large-scale impact on the region. These outstanding martyrs evolved a tremendous transformation in the world, especially the Muslim world. We solicit the Almighty God to empower all Iranian officials to made use of the generated capacity aimed at elevating our country, revolution, and Islamic system.”


Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Alireza Rashidian further on commemorated anniversary of martyrdom of Hazrat Zahra (pbuh), declaring that: “Hazrat Zahra (pbuh) was a soldier of Imamat and Vilayat who did her utmost to defend the right and the righteous. She sacrificed her life in this route and, thus, She is deemed as the topmost manifestation for rightfulness and legitimacy of the Shiism.”  


He referred to valiances of the Major General Qasem Soleimani during the Holy Defense period, declaring that: “Their martyrdom brought about a stronger unification of the Iranian and Iraqi nations. Such union made the feud of Islam’s enemies even more clear and turned the region’s conditions to the favor of the world Muslims.” 


Mr. Rashidian clarified that: “This martyrdom has evoked a new wave of Muslims’ mobilization and further anguished the West.”


Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization then referred to conditions of plans of Pilgrimage Offices of the Organization’s officials, indicating that: “We have exceeding 2,500 service offices across the country and we are trying to set them in further motion to play more active roles in dispatching pilgrims.”


Mr. Rashidian said: “We are trying to provide bank facilities for those who yearn for pilgrimage of Hazrat Zaynab (pbuh) in Syria. This opportunity will provoke a warmer reception by pilgrims. To do so and followed by independence of Atabat Deputy Office, we will implement new methods in pilgrimage services offices to further capacitate their position.”


In this session, the latest conditions of Iraq and Syria were addressed and provisions for dispatching pilgrims to these countries were reviewed. In his report, the new deputy of Atabat and Syria Department to Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Mohammad Azad expressed: “Dispatch of pilgrims to Syria is weekly in progress on Sundays and Thursdays.”


He added: “We are making attempts to reduce the final price of such dispatches. For this, we are planning to rent new hotels in Damascus. In addition, provincial officials in several provinces like Kerman, Fars, and Khorasan are planning to establish direct flights to Syria. This opportunity is arranged to be provided in Bahman.”


Director-General of Planning and Dispatch of Hajj Pilgrims Office to Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Kamran Akbari presented a report on housing conditions of Iranian pilgrims in 2012 Hajj, indicating that: “In the previous year, those who held hajj priority up until 6 Mar. 2007 were dispatched to Mecca.”


He added: “Recall for updating information by depositors of the previous two years has been issued and a number of 66,350 pilgrims have updated their information, from among whom a number of 20,000 pilgrims updated their information in 2018 and exceeding 40,000 ones in 2019.”


Director-General of Planning and Dispatch of Hajj Pilgrims Office to Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization clarified: “In accordance to our planning, necessary operations for the upcoming hajj is in process and 2020 hajj recall will soon be issued for registration of Iranian pilgrims.”
