One Step to Resuming Land Dispatch of Iranian Pilgrims to Iraq’s Holy Shrines

In the session convened by superintendents of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, it was announced that land dispatch of Iranian pilgrims to Iraq’s Holy Shrines will be resumed in case of consent of Supreme National Security Council.

As reported by Hajj Information Base, executive issues on 2020 Hajj were discussed in the session of Planning and Cooperation Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that was held today chaired by Representative of Supreme Leader and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab. It was further announced that a medical workgroup for pursuance of relevant required measures has been established.

In this session, housing pathology for 2019 Hajj and the measures taken respecting air transportation workgroup, airports, and Jeddah-Mecca roadside inns were addressed. It was clarified that the housing board, which will be dispatched to Saudi Arabia after reception of visas, is making required arrangements for renting hotels for 2020 Hajj.

Referring to continuation of flights of Iranian pilgrims to Iraq’s Holy Shrines, Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Alireza Rashidian said: “Iraqi officials are prepared to resume land dispatch of Iranian pilgrims to Iraq’s Holy Shrines. We are waiting for decree of the Supreme National Security Council.”

Making a point on full-scale presence of Iranians in the funeral ceremony of the sanctified body of the Major General Qasem Soleimani, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab remarked: “People of Islamic Iran just created a new epic with their extensive presence in this ceremony. This revolutionary presence is demonstrative of their allegiance to the System and Islamic Revolution of Iran.”

Expressing his regrets on the Ukrainian passenger airplane crash, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated: “This incident made all of us woe-stricken. However, a human error—whose occurrence by an inimical manipulation is not inconceivable—should not make us spurn the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, who, like the previous forty years, are still prepared to defend our country and security.”

Representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs clarified that: “IRGC have invariably been defenders of Iranian people and the oppressed all around the globe. They have shown remarkable sacrifices in the route of safeguarding Islamic ideals even beyond our borders. The martyrs Soleimani and Hamedani are exemplars of these persons.”

Expressing his sympathy for the families of the victims of the Ukrainian airplane crash, Mr. Rashidian considered the cause of this incident to be human error, indicating that: “Unfortunately, some enemies of Iran are seeking political exploitation from this incident. They abuse people’s commotion and perturbation, to which some American and British media add fuel aimed at stirring up to a domestic encounter.”
