Sources of Emulation Emphasized on Supreme Position of Iranian Pilgrims and Observance of Host Country’s Regulations

As reported by Hajj Information Base, Representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab arranged separate meetings with Sources of Emulation Vahid Khorasani, Safi Golpaygani, Shubairi Zanjani, Makarem Shirazi, Noori Hamedani, and Sobhani.

Representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs recapitulated the activities and attempts undertaken by the Supreme Leader Delegation Office in different cultural and executive fields, and Sources of Emulation offered their valuable, constructive directives.

Hajj Educational Activities Should be Expanded

In this meeting, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi considered ‘hajj’ to be the prestige of Islam and Shiism and underscored the presentation of required trainings to pilgrims. He remarked: “Participation in congregational prayers, avoidance of misdemeanors, and respect of host country’s rules and regulations are among the issues which should be observed by pilgrims during this spiritual journey.”

Giving emphasis to the necessity of pilgrims’ participation in training programs respecting hajj rites, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi declared that: “Trainings provided with Iranian pilgrims have set them as ethical and behavioral examples for other pilgrims.”

He attached importance to respect for sanctities of different Islamic religious ethnicities, stating that: “Respect for sanctities is a pivotal issue at all positions and places; however, it gains double significance upon hajj days. Presently, world of Islam demands higher degrees of unity and convergence—the fact which is not obtainable without respect for sanctities of different Islamic religious ethnicities.”

Holding Iranophobia and anti-Shiism to be a pretext for the arrogant and adversaries, Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi declared: “The media wielded by the arrogant make invariable attempts to display an upside-down image of Islamic Republic of Iran. Whereas, the replies made by many scientific and political figures who travel to Iran from different countries show the enormous distance between reality of Iran and what is depicted out of Iran by the media.”

In Hajj, Communicate the Message of Islam to Other People of the World

In this meeting, Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani held the presence of Iranian pilgrims in the Land of Revelation to be a marvelous opportunity for delineation of Islamic teachings and coordination of Muslims. He declared: “Land of Revelation is a treasured terrain far and wide due to the grace of the Ahlebeit (pbut). The opportunity of presence of pilgrims should be used to convey the message of Islam to all people. The capacity of hajj is a tremendous one, which we should not neglect. By your planning, you are responsible for paving the ground for taking advantage of this capacity.”

Ayatollah Safi Golpaygani stated: “Hajj is the best opportunity for self-purification of pilgrims, who should be assisted to properly complete hajj rites, turning back full-handed.”

Imam Zaman Pays Close Attention to Hajj Pilgrims

In his meeting with Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims, Ayatollah Shubairi Zanjani emphasized on transmission of glorious statements of the Infallible Imams, declaring: “Take advantage of the opportunity provided by hajj to narrate statements and prayers of the Infallible Imams.”

Referring to successful arrangement of 2019 hajj, Ayatollah Shubairi Zanjani reiterated: “That Iranian pilgrims complete hajj rites very good despite all problems and difficulties is a particular favor of Imam Zaman (pbuh).”

Ayatollah Shubairi Zanjani said: “Iranian pilgrims are hoped to arrange a successful hajj ceremony this year just like the previous ones; they are demanded to plead from the Almighty God for resolution of our country’s problems.”

Hajj Pilgrims are Guests at the Dilated Grace of the Almighty God

Indicating that hajj pilgrims are guests at the dilated grace of the Almighty God, Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani declared: “Hajj pilgrimage should be undertaken with remembrance of the Infallible Imams and utilization of their recommendations. This will enable pilgrims to be graced with Their favors.”

Ayatollah Vahid Khorasani emphasized on paying more attention to spiritual issues in hajj, adding: “Hajj pilgrims should be busy with citation and recourse all throughout their rites in order to be graced with special favor of Imam Zaman (pbuh).

Hajj Occupies an Invaluable Place

Ayatollah Noori Hamedani emphasized on acquaintance of pilgrims with hajj teachings and presented several suggestions thereon. He reiterated that: “Hajj occupies an invaluable place and all pilgrims should take the highest advantage out of this opportunity.”

Criticizing destruction of some historical and religious monuments in Saudi Arabia, Ayatollah Noori Hamedani called upon the global community to pay higher attention to maintenance of Islamic places in this country.

Referring to 2015 Mina disaster and martyrdom of a number of Iranian pilgrims, Ayatollah Noori Hamedani reiterated: “The issue should be pursued and the host country should reserve the martyrs’ right, since the disaster occurred in this country due to mismanagement.”

All should Observe the Host Country’s Regulations

Ayatollah Sobhani emphasized on observance of the rules and regulations set forth by the host country, declaring: “All pilgrims should respect the host country’s regulations during their religious odyssey to the Land of Revelation. Saudi Arabia, likewise, should save the face and position of pilgrims and receive them well.”

Ayatollah Sobhani added: “Like those held in previous years, this year’s hajj ceremonies are hoped to be arranged with maintenance of dignity and respect of pilgrims, who are wished to come back to Iran after proper completion of their hajj rites.”

He emphasized on making use of multilingual clergies for making more efficient contacts with other Muslims and pilgrims from other Islamic nations.
