Completion of 67% of the Capacity Allocated to Tamattu Hajj Convoys

“Sixty-seven percent of the capacity allocated to 2020 Tamattu Hajj convoys has been completed,” the session of Planning and Cooperation Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced.

As reported by Hajj Information Base, in this session, which was chaired by the Representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, holders of lodgment vouchers issued before 5 May 2007 were recommended to visit reserve.haj.ir to complete their registration.


Presenting a report on 2020 hajj registration process, supervisor of Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Deputy Office to Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Akbar Rezaei expressed: “New priorities will be issued on 15 Apr. 2020 for completion of 2020 Tamattu Hajj convoys in some cities.”


Issuing a notice, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization invited holders of lodgment vouchers issued from 6 May to 21 Jun. 2007 as reserve priorities to visit above link at 10 o'clock on 15 Apr. 2020 aimed at registration in one of convoys with vacant capacities.  


Mr. Rezaei added: “Medical cadre of Red Crescent Hajj and pilgrimage Medical Center is being completed. Medical examinations of 2020 hajj pilgrims will be initiated in early Ordibehesht.”


Referring to the problems raised by coronavirus in Iran, Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims asked for more meticulous attention to execution of plans by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office for the upcoming hajj ceremonies. He declared that pilgrims’ training plans will be issued in early Ordibehesht.


Indicating that committee members who were dispatched to Saudi Arabia to make hajj arrangements returned to Iran on Sunday, Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization said that: “These eight people were in Saudi Arabia for several weeks due to cancelation of flights and coronavirus-caused problems.”


Referring to the actions made for provision of the currency required for 2020 hajj, Mr. Alireza Rashidian declared: “Although arrangement of 2020 hajj ceremonies is vague, we are pursuing plans to pave the way for this arrangement after a possible declining of outbreak of pandemic of coronavirus.”


Addressing the measures taken by Atabat Office, Mr. Rashidian uttered: “We have presented protocols to the other party concerning dispatch of pilgrims to Iraqi and Syrian holy shrines. We are hopeful to witness a renewed dispatch of pilgrims following improvement of the tough conditions caused by spread of coronavirus by observance of safety and health issues.”


At the termination of the session, Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims pointed to the fourteen points addressed by the Supreme Leader in his visit paid thereto by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization officials, demanding them to formulate their reports on these points as quickly as possible in order to submit them to the Supreme Leader’s Office.”
