At the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, referring to the closure of the Hajj by Saudi Arabia, it was emphasized: the approach of Hajj and Pilgrimage Complex is to observe the economy and interests of Hajj al-Tamattu' pilgrims.
At this meeting, which was chaired by Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization referring to his meeting with First Vice President, Mr. Jahangiri, said: The Supreme Council of Hajj will be established as the highest decision-making body in this field and the position of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the closure of Hajj will be announced.
Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian, added: "at this meeting, issue of the first installment of Hajj expenses paid by the pilgrims and deposited in the Central Bank's account for buying foreign currency in the amount of two hundred million dollars and also the remaining amount of Rials needed for another $ 100 million will be clarified.
According to the report, at this meeting, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs stated: The current situation should be managed and an exact process should be designed for the future and the pilgrims should be informed.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also called for the provision of appropriate and workable solutions for planning and reviewing in the Supreme Council of Hajj.
Deputies of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization present their plans and programs regarding further interaction and synergy between the Hajj Organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office on issues such as reconstruction and training of human resources, how to eliminate identified damages and weaknesses, training pilgrims and ... at the next meeting of the planning council, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized.
The meeting continued by announcing the actions taken in the field of smart Hajj and the officials of Hajj Organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office reminded the need to organize the software used in different parts of this collection and emphasized: actions in this regard should be centralized and databases should be strengthened and also for improving the processes and using appropriate software, a roadmap should be prepare with the help of skilled and knowledgeable people.
At the end of the meeting, Supervisor of Hajj and Umrah Deputy Office to Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Akbar Rezaei, also reported on the status of contracts and agreements with Saudi parties in the areas of housing, nutrition and logistics and transportation for Hajj 99 and said: The fact that Saudi Arabia canceled the Hajj will not cause any harm to the Hajj Organization, and of course, we will reconsider the issues that are in line with our policies and programs, and we will keep them for the next Hajj if necessary.
