Islamic countries waiting for 1400 Hajj talks
Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced that the 1400 Hajj talks will be held virtually in the coming weeks. He made the remarks at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization announced at this meeting; which was chaired by Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab; that the 1400 Hajj talks will be held virtually in the coming weeks.
Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian, by stating that the time of negotiations between Islamic countries and Saudi Arabia for the upcoming Hajj has not been determined yet, added: according to the follow-ups, Saudi Arabia is trying to hold the 1400 Hajj talks first virtually this year due to the outbreak of the Corona virus, and the memorandum will be signed with limited presence of Hajj officials on both sides.
In the continuation of this meeting, deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Atabat affairs Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani presented a report on the follow-ups made to send pilgrims to Atabat-e-Aalyat and said: Due to the decrease in the number of coronavirus deaths and infection , negotiations have been held with the Iranian parties and Iraqi officials so that if the corona crisis would be improved, the initial agreement on the pilgrims' trip to Atbat in accordance with health procedures will be made.
According to this report, Hajj and Umrah Deputy to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Akbar Rezaei also presented explanations about the transfer of Hajj documents and said: "In this regard, there were problems for pilgrims in previous years, so since 1396, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has the necessary regulations for transfer of Hajj receipts to others, and in 1398, Tasharof system was set up to transfer Hajj receipts.
He added: "in this system, we have tried to eliminate the damages and eliminate the role of brokers by facilitating the facilities and speeding up the transfer of Hajj documents, so that the administrative and executive affairs of transferring documents with the presence of both parties be done more easily without intermediation in the offices of Hajj and Pilgrimage brokerages.
Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, considered the 1400 Hajj negotiations important and said at the meeting: considering the closure of Hajj 1398 and the readiness of pilgrims to attend Hajj 1400, this issue should be seriously on the agenda of Hajj and Pilgrimage’s official and plans should be made accordingly so that no problems arise during the negotiations.
He also pointed to the possibility of some changes in the performance of Hajj rituals in the future due to the outbreak of Corona virus, and added: jurisprudence committee of the Hajj and Pilgrimage’s Research Institute is scheduled to hold a joint meeting with representatives of Maraji to plan Hajj rituals in accordance with the current situation.
The representative of Supreme Leader in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs regarding the transfer of Hajj documents also stated: according to some suggestions, the issue should be discussed in a working group and the result should be transfer to Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization for final approval so that a decision can be made accordingly.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also congratulated the birth of Hazrat Zeinab Kobra (PBUH) and Nurse's Day at the beginning of the meeting and appreciated the valuable services of nurses in the days of Corona crisis.
