Head of Iranian Pilgrims: For the second year, Hajj closes for pilgrims except Saudi Arabia
Hojj al-Islam Navvab stated that Saudi Arabia will once again perform a minimal Hajj without the presence of Iranian and other Islamic countries pilgrims, stating: Saudi Arabia could hold Hajj rituals with limited capacity by following health protocols; but unfortunately, for the second year, the Hajj was closed for pilgrims except Saudi Arabia.
Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab in a speech before the Friday prayer sermons in Qom, congratulating the ten days of Dignity, Hajj Week and the birth of Imam Reza (AS), said: Hajj is one of the ancillaries of faith; Concerning its importance, it is enough that if no one goes to perform Hajj, it is the duty of the Islamic State to send people to perform Hajj. But there is no such order about other ancillaries of faith such as prayer, fasting and zakat, etc. One million and two hundred thousand Iranians are waiting for Hajj, some of whom have been waiting for fourteen or fifteen years.
Referring to Imam Reza (AS)'s response to Muhammad ibn Sinan about the cause of Hajj, he said: The eighth Imam (AS) has stated 25 points for explaining Hajj, which is why Hajj has been explained and it is necessary to do it. One is that Hajj is the guest house of God Almighty; when God wants to entertain servants, it is either in the holy month of Ramadan or in the land of revelation; these are the two ways of God Almighty's hospitality programs.
Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs pointed out that the Hajj has been closed several times throughout history and these closures were completely due to insecurity and problems. After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, we witnessed Hajj closure two times, one a few years after Bloody Friday and the other after the Mena incident in 95. Hajj has been closed for two years due to the Corona virus outbreak.
Despite the outbreak of the coronavirus, it was possible to perform Hajj from various countries with limited capacity, and Saudi Arabia was able to conduct the Hajj; unfortunately, for the second year in a row, Muslims were barred from performing the Hajj, Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims added.
According to the verses of the Qur'an, this House (Kaaba) is for all people; this year, 60,000 people are scheduled to attend the Hajj; of these, fifteen thousand were intended for the people of Saudi Arabia, while these people are no different from other Muslims in the world; but the per capita participation of Muslims from different countries is not the same as in Saudi Arabia, he emphasized.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab referring to the Khordad 28 elections, said: We choose every moment in life; elections is a divine blessing that we must participate in; The Guardian Council has selected the right people, and we have to choose from among them, the one who is righteous and who benefits the community the most.
He described participating in the elections as a duty and said: "this duty must be accompanied by thought; sometimes a vote changes the fate of society; in the history of Islam, there were many meetings where one vote could rule the Ahl al-Bayt of the Prophet or others.
Regarding the duty of elected president, said: the president must be the executor and guardian of the country's constitution; articles 113 to 155 of the Constitution describe the duties of the President. Forty-two article of the constitution relate to the president, with approximately one-fourth of all constitutional principles vested in the president, and the rest ,are related to other parts of the country; from the leadership to the armed forces and others.
He called the president as the second person of country and said: people should think and choose with thinking; in every country, people have the final say; whoever select as president, the oath he swears in the parliament and in front of the Qur'an and the people's representatives, should frame this oath and place it in his office.
