Iran , Oman Hajj officials welcome exchange of experiences In the field of Hajj

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Hajj officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman in a video communication, while exchanging views on cessation of sending foreign pilgrims to the land of revelation for the second consecutive year, welcomed the development of cooperation and exchange of experiences between two countries in this field.

Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab at the virtual meeting, called the relations and cooperation between the two nations deep-rooted and friendly and considered solidarity in the Islamic world as a factor of growth and synergy of all Islamic countries.

Iranian pilgrims head noting that in the current situation, planning for limited Hajj was possible, added: one of the negative effects of corona outbreak was the re-closure of the Hajj great congress for foreign pilgrims and the cessation of pilgrims presence in other pilgrimage places.

Referring to the achievements of holding Hajj, he stated: the spread of the fragrance of Hajj in Islamic lands after returning pilgrims to their country is one of the inspiring effects of pilgrims from different countries entering the land of revelation.

According to the report, at the meeting, Mr. Mohammad bin Saeed Al-Omari, Amir Al-Hajj and the Omani deputy minister of endowments and religious affairs also considered the close relationship between the officials of two countries in favor of two countries and two nations and expressed hope for cooperation between the two countries in religious, hajj and pilgrimage affairs would be strengthened.

In the continuation of this meeting, chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian, stating that Hajj is related to all Muslims in the world, pointed to holding some competitions and sports gatherings due to the progress in the field of health and corona vaccine injection in the current situation.

Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah officials could hold meetings with representatives of Islamic countries to manage the current crisis and hold Hajj rituals while maintaining the health and safety of pilgrims, he added.

According to the report, at this meeting, Hajj officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Oman referred to the measures and studies carried out in their respective countries by using the Hajj closure opportunity in order to provide better services to the land of revelation pilgrims and developing smart services. Also most of the interactions between two countries Hajj officials was considered useful and effective.

The two sides also welcomed the development of cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of Hajj.

Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, stating that the views of both sides on Hajj issues are close, proposed signing of a memorandum of cooperation to use each other's experiences and the Omani side called for the formation of a joint group to pursue cooperation between the two countries.

Omani deputy minister of endowments and religious affairs also welcomed the proposal of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization chairman to travel to Iran at a suitable time to discuss ways to use the two countries' experiences in religious affairs, especially in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage.

Supreme Leader Delegation Office’s deputy in international affairs Hojjat al-Islam Ali Khayyat , Hajj and Umrah Deputy to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Akbar Rezaei and our country's cultural Attache' in Oman Seyed Ali Mousavizadeh also In their speeches, emphasized the interest of all Islamic countries for holding the glorious Hajj and providing desirable services to the pilgrims of the land of revelation, and considered the strengthening of unity among Muslims as one of the effects of holding this great congress.

Sultan bin Saeed Al-Hanaei, Abdul Aziz bin Saud Al-Ghafari and Saleh bin Saeed Al-Hooseni; officials of Omani Hajj and the ministry of endowments and religious affairs, calling such consultations important in providing services and reviewing Hajj affairs between Islamic countries, clarified: It provides a platform for dialogue between Muslims and the use of the spirituality of the land of revelation.

At the beginning of the virtual meeting, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs congratulated the victory of Palestinian citizens and fighters over the Zionist enemy in the 12-day war in Gaza and said that the problems of Islamic world originated from conspiracies of enemies and ultra-regional powers.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also referred to the cowardly crime of the United States in attacking on an Iranian airliner in the Persian Gulf on Tir 12, 1367 and the martyrdom of 290 innocent passengers and said: 33 years have passed since this painful incident and a group of Iranians are still mourning the loss of their loved ones; the attack and giving an award and a badge of honor to Vincennes’ commander, the cause of the Iranian passenger plane crash;  represents the hypocricy of the US government and the mirage of American human rights.
