Reviewing the report of working group for unexpected events management at the meeting of Hajj officials

The report of working group on Contingency Management and Guides Affairs was reviewed at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office (Be'seh) and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and The report of working group on Contingency Management and Guides Affairs was presented.


Presenting statistics of casualties in the events that occurred in the land of revelation from 1366 to 1394, Mr. Davood Bagheri, in charge of coordinating the secretariat of 20 working groups in reviewing the executive processes in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage, reminded the need for crisis planning and management in unexpected events.


Expert meetings were held with the presence of experts in this field, and the use of various capacities, including clerics, agents, narrators, visual media and new technologies, etc., was emphasized at this working group, he added.


Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian, also called the coordination and interaction among different units and even non-governmental organizations important to reduce the damage and help resolve the crisis.


It is necessary to identify the areas of accidents and crisis and to determine the task of different departments in preventing and managing the crisis, Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab emphasized.


Deputy Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Atabat affairs Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani also reported on the follow-ups to send pilgrims to Iraq.


It was also announced at this meeting that if the relevant parties in Iran and Iraq agree, pilgrimage trips to Atabat-e-Aliyat will be held in a limited number of people after more than a one year break for the Arafat ceremony, and one Thousands people can be sent to Atabat in accordance with the health procedures and conditions required by the two countries.
