Reviewing the situation of sending pilgrims to Atabat-e-Aliyat
Sending pilgrims to Atabat-e-Aliyat, especially in Arbaeen Hosseini, was examined at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.
As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
Chairman of the Cultural and Educational Committee of Arbaeen Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi and deputy head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Atabat affairs Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani reports on sending pilgrims to Atabat-e-Aliyat, especially in Arbaeen Hosseini was presented at the meeting.
Referring to the coordination and measures taken inside the country regarding the Arbaeen Hosseini ceremony, head of Arbaeen Cultural and Educational Committee stated at this meeting: "Interaction and coordination has also taken place with groups active in Iraq and in the coming days, we will host three groups from the Iraqi side to hold joint meetings and we will Strengthen our interaction.
Noting that 300 joint Moukeb (Bases providing services to pilgrims) were formed in previous years and provided services to Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims, Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi said it was important to increase the number of joint Iranian and Iraqi Moukebs.
During the Arbaeen 98, more than one million Iranian pilgrims settled in Iraqi homes, he said.
Hojjat al-lslam Rahmani also mentioned at the meeting his recent trip to Iraq and negotiations with the Iraqi parties with the aim of resuming the limited dispatch of pilgrimage caravans to Atabat and announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Iraqi tourism officials and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in the coming weeks.
Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also announced: the expert teams of two sides will hold the last consultations regarding this memorandum's provisions in Tehran.
Referring to the start of Hajj al-Tamattu' rituals in the land of revelation, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs also at the beginning of the meeting, regretted the absence of Iranian pilgrims in this ceremony despite the follow-ups and read passages from the message of the Supreme Leader on the occasion of Hajj.
Referring to the Uprising of Fakhkh on Dhu al-Hijjah 8th ,169 AH and the collective martyrdom of the children of the Infallibles (peace be upon them), Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stated: the tragic crime was committed by Bani Abbas and the Abbasid troops on the day when pilgrims begin the Hajj al-Tamattu', martyred the children of the infallibles in Ihram clothes.
He emphasized: the nature of Hajj is standing against arrogance and as Imam Khomeini(RA) has emphasized, today, as always, the interest of the Islamic Ummah is in the unity of the word.
