Indonesian Ambassador meets with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs

The Ambassador of Indonesia to the Islamic Republic of Iran met with Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, The Ambassador of Indonesia to the Islamic Republic of Iran Mr. Roni Prastio Yoliantaro met with Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Supervisor of Iranian Pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab. The meeting was held at the Supreme Leader Delegation Office's headquarters.


The meeting was held by attendance of Supreme Leader Delegation Office deputy on international affairs Hojjat al-Islam Ali Khayyat.


Head of the Iranian pilgrims positively assessed the groundwork for the development of relations between two countries in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage and said: "The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to transfer its experiences in this area to Indonesia."


He noted that Iran and Indonesia have had excellent cooperation in the past, noting that Indonesia plays an influential role in the international arena and global organizations, and that interaction between the two sides could lead to increased cooperation.


Pointing out that Hajj is a valuable opportunity for Islamic societies, Supreme Leader's Representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs reminded: Hajj is the best opportunity to communicate with God and the people; unfortunately, due to the Corona virus outbreak, this religious program was closed for the second year and it is not possible for Islamic countries to do so. It was fitting that the ground for performing Hajj was provided for different countries' the Muslims, even in a limited way, in accordance with the health protocols, so fragrance of Hajj was spread in the world.


He lamented the increase in corona deaths in the world, especially in Iran and Indonesia, and expressed hope that with the increase in production and injection of corona vaccine, the virus will be eradicated in all countries and Muslims will be able to perform this duty well in the upcoming Hajj.


Stating that Hajj strengthens spirituality and increases the spirit of praising God and worship among the people, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab adding: Hajj is the best opportunity for the Islamic world unity and shows the authority of Muslims in the world.


Head of Iranian pilgrims referring to the research activities of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office in the Hajj and Pilgrimage area, added: Compiling and publishing more than a thousand books in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage is one of the Supreme Leader's Delegation Office's honors; to this end, we are ready to cooperate with Indonesia to hold joint training courses for brokers, transfer of experiences and also holding international conferences.


Indonesian ambassador, referring to the issues raised by Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs to develop cooperation between the two countries in this area, emphasized at the meeting: we are ready to see more interactions and contacts between two countries in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage with the visit of Indonesian minister of religious Affairs.


Mr. Roni Prastio Yoliantaro welcomed the holding of joint meetings and the use of the experiences of Iran and Indonesia in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage and reminded: Iran has very good relations with Indonesia and carries out joint activities in various fields and signing a health memorandum in recent days is proof of this claim.


He also lamented the Hajj closure due to the Corona virus outbreak and said: "This year, for the second year in a row, the country's pilgrims were barred from attending the land of revelation, and more than five million pilgrims postponed their pilgrimage."
