As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, It was announced at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization that coordination has been made with the Iraqi ambassador in Tehran to issue visas for Iranian pilgrims in Arbaeen Hosseini.
Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.
Director General of the Office for Planning, Receiving and Sending Pilgrims to Atabat-e-Aliyat Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi, said at the meeting that the Iraqi embassy is ready to issue pilgrims' visas and that, if necessary, the Iraqi consulates in Iran will be activated.
The visa issued to Arbaeen Hosseini pilgrims will be valid for two months and Pilgrims can stay in Iraq for a maximum of one month.
In the continuation of this meeting, chairman of hajj and pilgrimage organization Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian by saying that the Samah system has been activated since this morning for the pre-registration of those eager to attend the Arbaeen Hosseini ceremony; added: necessary measures and coordination to finalize pre-registration, pilgrim insurance and ticket issuance by airlines are being carried out quickly, and all those involved are working to provide and facilitate the conditions for sending pilgrims.
Emphasizing the need to inform the Arbaeen pilgrims and stating the conditions and facts, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: It is necessary finding a solution so that due to the spread of the corona virus, pilgrims who make their pilgrimage and walk can return to the country sooner.
According to the surveys that will be carried out, it is possible that a number of travel enthusiasts who have pre-registered will not be eligible for dispatch, so the necessary forecast will be made to use the quota allocated to each province, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab emphasized.
The report states that in the continuation of the meeting, the issue of visa waiver between Iran and Iraq was raised and the participants expressed their views and opinions.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs called for the formation of a working group consisting of relevant deputies, managers and experts in the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the Supreme Leader Delegation Office to study the various aspects of this issue and specified: The solutions and suggestions that are reviewed and approved by this working group should be submitted to the meeting of Planning Council for final approval.
Although the Arbaeen program has been separated from the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, it is still the responsibility of this organization to send pilgrims, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said.
He added if this task had been handed over to the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the Supreme Leader's Delegation Office from the beginning, there would have been no side problems.
