The meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.

Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian, referring to the efforts made to resume pilgrimage trips to Aatbat-e- Aaliyat, said at the meeting: with prior agreement of National Anti-Corona Headquarters and the Ministry of Health for limited dispatch to Iraq, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization hopes that the ground for sending pilgrims to the holy shrine will be provided.

Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Akbar Rezaei presented a report on Saudi Arabia's efforts to lift corona restrictions and abolish social distancing at the meeting , and announced its readiness to welcome 70,000 Umrah pilgrims a day.

Referring to Saudi Arabia's efforts to receive pilgrims in Masjid al-Haram and the Prophet's Mosque and also signs of improving relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia, head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization expressed hope that the ground for sending eager pilgrims who are waiting for Umrah will be provided and this organization can provide its services properly.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also stressed the role of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in planning pilgrimage trips in accordance with the host countries’ conditions.

Regarding to the Arbaeen trip, he called for re-engineering the duties of committees whose activities are related to each other in the destination country, and also with more and better coordination, the obstacles and ambiguities will be removed.

Congratulating the Prophet of Mercy (PBUH) and Imam Sadegh (AS) birthday, mentioned the Week of Unity as a great initiative of Imam Khomeini (RA) for the solidarity of Islamic Ummah and stated: Islam today more than any other times needs unity and spirit of Islamic brotherhood.

He added: "How is it that people who claim to be Muslims today blow themselves up in the ranks of worshipers and mourn dozens of families and plunge Islamic countries into grief and sorrow? Unfortunately, some deviant individuals and groups which are seeking the power, pour the blood of innocent and oppressed people.
