The issue of sending pilgrims to Iraq, Syria and Saudi Arabia was discussed at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization which was held in the presence of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, , the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.


Expressing the new decisions of Saudi Arabia regarding holding Umrah, Hajj and Umrah deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Akbar Rezaei pointed at the meeting to the lifting of Corona restrictions in this country in order to attract more pilgrims during Umrah and Hajj.


Referring to the presence of pilgrims from some countries, including Nigeria, Iraq and the UAE in Umrah, he added: "Considering the expectations of our country's pilgrims, the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has put the pursuit of launching this trip on its agenda."


According to the report, in the continuation of this meeting, head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian, referring to the preparations made for the start of pilgrimage trips to Atabat-e-Aliyat, announced the air dispatch of the first caravans of Iranian pilgrims to Iraq during the next two weeks.


With the aim of sending pilgrim caravans to Syria, a delegation from the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization will travel to Damascus next week to hold talks with Syrian officials, Mr. Rashidian added.


At this meeting, also the report of Mr. Davood Bagheri, in charge of coordinating the secretariat of the 20 working groups reviewing the executive processes in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage, regarding the duties and responsibilities of the representative offices of Hajj Organization in Iraq and Syria was also discussed and Hojjat al-Islam Navvab emphasized the supervisory role of the Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in reviewing and evaluating the services provided to pilgrims.


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs emphasized: Some issues are not considered in this report, and needs to be compiled and added to this report with the coordination and consultation of the Atabat’s deputy of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and other officials related to this field.


According to this report, at the beginning of the meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, in a speech referring to the Supreme Leader’s statements on the anniversary of the auspicious birth of Holy Prophet (PBUH), listed its important domestic and international topics and called on International and Cultural Affairs deputy of Supreme Leader Delegation office to put on their agenda how to address these issues.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab described patience, justice and morality as three axes that all executors should pay attention to and added: patience is an action and should not be interpreted as abandonment, patience does not mean adaptation to the current situation but effort to achieve the desired situation.
