Ethics; the need of today's society

At the gathering of clerics of western region of Golestan province, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stated ethics is the need of today's society.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, On the fourth day of his trip to Golestan province, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab visited the Hajj school of Aazamiyeh in Bandar-e-Turkmen city.


During this visit, head of the Iranian pilgrims was welcomed by chief of the school Haj Akhund Onagh and a group of scholar and clerics of the school, and then attended and spoke at a gathering of clerics in the west of Golestan province.


Referring to the Supreme Leader's recommendations in the second phase of the revolution statement, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs emphasized it necessary for the clerics and scholars to have good morals.


Mentioning the memories of Sayyed al-Shuhada Azadegan, the late Hojjat al-Islam Haj Agha Abu Turabi, he added: "Good morals can turn an enemy and a torturer into a friend."


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab considered ethics as the need of today's society and said: God Almighty in the Qur'an, considers the good morals and love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) as a divine gift.


Referring to some of the crimes, immoralities and atrocities of ISIL, he stated: A person who knows God and is familiar with the morals and behavior of the Holy Prophet, hates groups such as ISIL and ruthless people.


According to this report, at the end of the gathering, Akhund Abdul Jabbar Mirabi was honored as a pioneer and the reading book software along the Hajj was unveiled for Sunni clerics.


Following the trip to Bandar-e-Turkmen city, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs participated in the Quran memorization ceremony at the city's Dar al-Tahfiz, which was attended by 34 students succeeded in memorizing complete Quran.


During his speech at the ceremony, he reminded the importance of paying attention to the Qur'an and memorizing the verses of this divine book and said: "today, thanks to the blood of the martyrs and the Islamic Revolution, such memorizers of the Qur'an are honored."


He advised people who are not even literate: to look at the pages of Quran every day and recite Surah Tawhid and ask God to make them among the reciters of Quran.


The first step is to memorize Quran and the next important step is to ponder and act on the verses of this divine book, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added.
