Iranian Red Crescent Society Chairman meets with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs emphasized in the Red Crescent Society’s head meeting with him that Red Crescent should have more contact with the people and prioritize the cooperation of honorary partners.
As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Head of the Red Crescent Society Dr. Pir Hossein Kolivand met today with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, and presented a report on his plans and policies for the Society.
At this meeting which was attended by head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center Dr. Seyyed Ali Marashi, deputy head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center Taher Doroudi and cultural deputy in the Supreme Leader Delegation Office, Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Rokn Al-Dini; Hojjat al-Islam Navvab congratulated Mr. Kolivand on his appointment, describing it as a choice from the Red Crescent family.
Referring to the history of Mr. Kolivand and his colleagues’ cooperation with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Collection from the past to the present, he enumerated some of his managerial features and said: services of this friends in Hajj, Umrah and Atabat-e- Aliyat and the provision of medical and treatment services to pilgrims are commendable.
Stating that Dr. Kolivand has served sincerely in every position he has held, expressed hope that he will serve well in the Red Crescent Society during his tenure and take steps towards the growth and promotion of this group.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage, in continuation of his speech, considered the devoted and self-sacrificing nation of Iran worthy of service and specified: these people from all walks of life have come sincerely to the Red Crescent Society to serve the victims of natural disasters and to provide social and health services, etc., wherever necessary.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also stressed on study the needs of people for the services of Red Crescent and try to benefit from the honorary cooperation of different segments of the population in the activities of this Society.
He also emphasized the Red Crescent must have more contact with the people and prioritize the cooperation of honorary partners in order to shine in the country.
Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that the Red Crescent in interaction with the imams of congregational prayer across the country can also play a role in laying the groundwork for a good religious life, added the cooperation of the Red Crescent Society with seminaries to use the seminary's capacity in public activities is useful and constructive.
According to the report, in the continuation of this meeting, head of the Red Crescent Society enumerated the various activities of this group inside and in the international arena and its plans and policies for this society in the future and emphasized on the continuation of his society cooperation with the Hajj and Pilgrimage collection and providing services to the pilgrims of Hajj, Umrah and holy shrine.
Referring to the inherent duties of the Red Crescent Society, he stressed the need to employ faithful, jihadist and skilled youth in the activities of this society in line with the second phase statement of Supreme Leader and said: we will try to use the potential of the young force to create more excitement in the Red Crescent.
Mr. Kolivand mentioned addressing the issue of endowments and the role and international status of the Red Crescent Society as other areas of interest in future planning and added: In addition to using the thinkers, we will move towards upgrading software and hardware systems for better service, greater satisfaction and the growth of the Red Crescent Society.
