Review of the latest measures to send Iranian pilgrims to Syria

The latest measures for sending Iranian pilgrims to Syria were reviewed at the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab and head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization explained the latest steps which are taken for sending the first group of Iranian pilgrims to Syria after a several years break.


The new cycle of sending Iranian pilgrims to Syria will be activated from next week after announcing the agreement of the Syrian side to our country's political representation in Damascus, he added.


Mr. Ali Reza Rashidian also referred to the latest news regarding the upcoming Hajj and the meetings of the Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah with officials of some Islamic countries and said: Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has examined possible scenarios for the fulfillment of this religious duty of the people, considering the corona pandemic and is also planning and pursuing its implementation.


Head of the Iranian pilgrims also called for paying attention to the orders of Imam Khomeini (RA) and Supreme Leader, especially in the second phase statement of revolution and the last two years messages on Hajj in the planning of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.


He also expressed hope that the next Hajj will be held with the participation of pilgrims from other countries, with appropriate measures taken by the host country.


In the continuation of this meeting, deputy Head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Atabat affairs Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani reported on increasing the participation of provinces in sending pilgrimage caravans to Atabat-e- Aliyat and also advisor to the head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization on Parliament and Provinces affairs Mr. Ghorban Mirzaei and head of Research Center of this organization Mohammad Taghi Ghaderi reported on how to hold the first nutrition and supplies national conference in pilgrimage trips.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also reminded the need to pay attention to health along with nutrition and supplies and called on the conference organizers to form a working group consisting of those involved in nutrition and procurement during the Hajj, Umrah and holy pilgrimage trips, and also professors and scientific and academic experts to express and transfer experiences.


At the beginning of the meeting which was held on the eve of 9th Dey epic anniversary, the day of insight and the covenant of the nation with Velayat, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs reminded the need to increase the insight of the people.


Referring to the verses of Holy Quran, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added: God Almighty has distinguished between the sighted and the blind and also the hearing and the deaf.


At the end of his speech, he mentioned examples of fake movements and imitations in the history of Islam to mislead society, and considered the mistake in choosing the index and correctly identifying priorities as an obstacle to gaining insight.
