Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs:
Knowledge-increasing among the Arbaeen pilgrims

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, The first meeting of the Arbaeen 1401 Cultural and Educational Committee was held this morning in the presence of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, in the unity hall of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.

Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs enumerated the important cultural and propaganda capacities of Arbaeen and expressed the views of Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution regarding this great people's congress at the meeting which was attended by representatives of agencies and organizations and officials of various groups and departments.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab considered Arbaeen as an opportunity for knowledge- increasing of Hosseini pilgrims and specified: in order to increase knowledge, recognizing the needs of pilgrims and also pathology of the past and monitoring and planning for the future are necessary.

If this massive and very widespread movement of the people, which is called the largest human community, is devoid of unity and knowledge, it will become a symbolic movement, of which there are many small examples in the world, he emphasized.

Stating that knowledge, unity and convergence are among the principle emphasized by the Supreme Leader in Arbaeen, head of the Iranian pilgrims added: If the Hosseini pilgrim does not change comparing to the past after participating in Arbaeen walking and ceremony, it indicates the lack of work of those involved in leading and planning this ceremony.

He reminded the necessity of using policies, strategies and guidelines presented by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution and pointed out the importance of religious zeal and said: the words and slogans of Imam Hossein (AS) and his companions are full of content that can be a strong support for knowledge, religious zeal and unity.

By stating that others are deprived from the great capacity of Arbaeen, which has been provided with respect of the Sarallah’s blood and his devotees; Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs stated: Arbaeen and the pilgrimage of Hossein Ibn Ali (AS) are tools to get out of problems and worldliness.

Referring to the ceremonies and rituals which have been held in recent days in honor of Sardar-e- Delha; martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani and martyr Kazemi, he stated: these two loved ones were the manifestation of Imam Hossein (AS) and Arbaeen’s followers.

The people of Qom more than four decades ago rose up and followed the path of Sayyed al-Shuhada against the tyranny of time, he adedd.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab also referred to a narration of Imam Baqir (AS) about pilgrimage and said: pilgrimage of Imam Hossein (AS) is an elixir that thwarts the conspiracies of the enemies against Islam and the front of disbelief against the believers.

He praised the efforts made in the committees of the Arbaeen headquarters to provide the ground for the Arbaeen pilgrimage, stating: "Cultural programs and activities are the compass of other committees and define the path for others to make their efforts fruitful."

Citing a narration from the Holy Prophet of Islam (PBUH), he said that the efforts made in the world to prevent the reflection of the pure, valuable and spiritual movement of Arbaeen were due to the effectiveness of this popular movement.

Arbaeen is a jihadist and active movement in the right front and the people who work in different committees of Arbaeen are considered the fighters of this front, he emphasized.

He added: "The cultural front is the leader of the Arbaeen committees, which strives for humanization and knowledge- increasing and by the committee’s activities, the efforts of other committees will be successful."

According to the report, at the beginning of this meeting, head of the cultural and educational committee of Arbaeen headquarters presented a report on the presence of Iranian pilgrims in the last Arbaeen.

Pointing out that the draft of Arbaeen 1401 cultural policies and approaches have been prepared, he expressed hope that the general directions of Arbaeen for the next year and the plans for the following years will be compiled as soon as possible and presented to the headquarters of Arbaeen.

Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi called on all departments to hold their meetings and follow up their works faster.

In this meeting, which was attended by representatives of institutions and organizations related to this committee, the participants expressed their views on holding a better and more glorious Arbaeen Hosseini walking and related cultural and educational affairs in 1401.
