Omani Ambassador in Iran meets Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs

Omani Ambassador in Iran met and discussed with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Omani ambassador to Iran Mr. Ibrahim bin Ahmad Al-Moeini met today with Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab at the Supreme Leader's representation and two side talked about cooperation between the two countries in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage.


At the meeting which was attended by Supreme Leader Delegation Office's deputy on international affairs Hojjat al-Islam Ali Khayyat and cultural deputy in the Supreme Leader Delegation Office Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Rokn Al-Dini; Hojjat al-Islam Navvab referring to the history of relations between the two countries, mentioned Oman as a reliable neighbor and a valuable partner for the Islamic Republic of Iran.


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, also referring to the video communication with the Hajj officials of Oman in recent months, clarified: Hajj missions of the two countries can use each other's capacity to optimize Hajj programs.


He also mentioned the common opinion of two countries' hajj officials on the need for solidarity between Islamic countries and said: Hajj can be the axis of Islamic world solidarity, and today the hands of foreigners are trying to take Hajj away from this valuable function.


In this meeting, the Ambassador of Oman described Tehran-Muscat relations very good, stable and deep-rooted, and welcomed the development of relations between two sides in various fields, including in Hajj and Pilgrimage.


Referring to Oman's participation in cultural programs and Holy Quran competitions in the Islamic Republic of Iran, he reminded the importance of Hajj season for Muslims and said: regarding Hajj, we can exchange views and experiences to provide better services to pilgrims.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, stating that Hajj is one of the Islam's pillars, added: the Islamic Republic of Iran's hajj officials are ready to cooperate in this area with the friendly and brotherly country, Oman.


In the continuation of this meeting, the two sides expressed hope that the results of contacts and consultations between Hajj and Pilgrimage officials of the two countries will lead to coordination and interaction in using each other's experiences in smart Hajj and facilitating Omani citizens' pilgrimage trips to Iran.


Supreme Leader Delegation Office's deputy on international affairs Hojjat al-Islam Ali Khayyat also said at the meeting that we are ready to cooperate with Oman and a joint memorandum has been drafted to improve the level of relations between the two countries in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage, which can be the basis of relations between two sides, which was welcomed by the Omani ambassador.
