Acceptance half of the air travel applicants to Nowruz Atabat

Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization is ready to dispatch half of the pilgrims who have already registered for the Nowruz travel to the Atabat-e-Aliyat.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab. It was announced at the meeting that with the planning and measures taken, the capacity to send fifty percent of the air travel applicants to Atabat-e-Aliyat during Nowruz has been provided.


During the time which was announced earlier and ended on Esfand 6th ,41,000 people had already registered, of which 26,000 are applicant for air travel and 15,000 are applicant for land travel to Atabat-e-Aliyat, but the possibility of land travel to Atabat has not been provided yet, Director General of the Office for Planning, Receiving and Sending Pilgrims to Atabat-e-Aliyat in the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Hamid Mohammadi said.


He added: "considering the welcome of Atabat applicants during Nowruz, a suitable method has been predicted for the sortation and final registration, and information and results will be announced in the coming days."


Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyyed Sadegh Hosseini, at this meeting also referred to the efforts to accommodate, feed and provide supplies and flights for Nowruz pilgrims and said: the capacity can only be increased if new appropriate infrastructure and facilities are provided.


Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs asked the head of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and those involved in the field of Atabat take necessary measures in dispatching pilgrimage caravans during Nowruz and to satisfy the pilgrims by providing appropriate services in the host country.


Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also announced at the meeting the provision of loan by some banks to enthusiasts of travel to Atabat-e-Aliyat in the future.


Mr. Mohammadi also pointed out that 720 people are sent to Iraq every week in the form of academic Umrah and Atabat staff and added: During this period, about 4,000 to 4,500 academics will be sent to Atabat by mid-Farvardin 1401, and the flight stations of Isfahan, Mashhad and Tabriz will soon be added to the four flight stations of Tehran, Yazd, Kerman and Shiraz.


Mr. Davood Bagheri in charge of coordinating the twenty working group secretariat of the executive process review in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage also reported on the implementation process of this project and the measures taken to produce the book "Management of Executive Processes of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization".


Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs emphasizing taking into account the recommendations of the new head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and the Supreme Leader’s representation in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs, added this book should be published by the middle of the holy month of Ramadan.
