Protecting human value and dignity; one of the most important goals of Hosseini (AS) Movement
Noting that protecting human value and dignity is one of the most important goals of the Hosseini (AS) movement, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said: personality and movement of Imam Hossein (AS) is full of human encounters and interactions.
As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab said at the International Conference on Human Dignity in the Hosseini discourse which was held at the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) University in Karbala city that protecting human value and dignity and save humanity from misguidance is the most important goal of Imam Hussein (AS) uprising.
Referring to verse 70 of Surah Al-Asra ', Hojjat al-Islam Navvab stated: human dignity is one of the important subject in the explicit text of Holy Qur'an and expresses the inherent dignity of man. It means, man himself, regardless of which religion he follows or not, enjoys this divine and inherent dignity, and the goal of all divine religions is to preserve this human dignity and prevent the waste of human values.
Referring to Islam religion's emphasis on human dignity, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab added: Human dignity in Islam is due to the divine caliph seat, and among the various divine creatures, human has a privileged character that has allocated the divine caliph to himself among the creatures.
Head of the Iranian pilgrims said human dignity in Islamic principles have been divided into two categories of assigned and acquired. The assigned dignity is due to the special attention of God to humans, and all human beings have this inherent dignity without considering gender, religion and ethnicity. Acquired dignity is a way to achieve humans to the perfection and a criterion of human superiority, according to the Qur'an, the criterion of human superiority is not gender and race ... but piety.
Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs at the end of his speech, pointed out to the importance of international conferences and research in various dimensions of the Hosseini movement and said: the personality and movement of Imam Hussein (AS) is full of human encounters and interaction, but unfortunately, this personality dimension of Hossein bin Ali (AS) is less known for the world. I hope that holding these conferences will be a ground for the transfer of Imam Hossein's humanitarian messages to the world.
The international conference of human dignity in Hosseini's discourse held Esfand 23 and 24 in the city of Karbala with the presence of Iran-Iraq scholars in order to explain the values of great and divine movement of Imam Hossein (AS).
