Reducing Hajj travel time requires the cooperation of all executive bodies

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab on the sidelines of the official ceremony of convoying pilgrims, said to the reporters: numerous organizations, institutions and ministries are involved in Hajj operations, and not only the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, but also the Ministries of Roads and Urban Development, Foreign Affairs, Interior, Information, Culture and Islamic Guidance, as well as law enforcement and military forces are active at the process. Referring to the plans of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and Supreme Leader Delegation Office for this year's Hajj operation, head of the Iranian pilgrims said: for this purpose, both the instructions of Supreme Leader of Revolution regarding Hajj and the issues that he stated about the Statement of the Second Phase and the jihad of explanation have been taken into consideration. Supreme Leader emphasis on paying attention to the Qur'an in the lands of revelation is also included in the plans. God Willing, with these measures, we can have a good spiritual Hajj.

In response to the Supreme Leader's demand to reduce the time of pilgrimage, he said: supreme Leader is aware of the general issues of the country and he has said that although this is a difficult task, but by efforts the pilgrim's travel time could be shortened. Several items make the Hajj trip long or short, the most important of them are flights and planes; If the selected planes have a high capacity, more passengers will be transported and naturally the time will be shorter.

Stating that in the previous Hajj, about 83,000 pilgrims moved with IranAir, which caused a longer travel time, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: our colleagues are looking for a way to make this trip as short as possible, but this also requires strengthening the airline fleet. To reduce the 45-day travel time to one month, we need more airports at the origin and destination.

Explained the measures which have taken after the meeting with Supreme Leader of Revolution, head of the Iranian pilgrims added: Since last Wednesday, when we were in the presence of the Supreme Leader of Revolution, we have started meetings at the Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute and have anticipated plans and programs that will be carried out in the future. Of course, these programs will not be operational this year, and various organizations and institutions must work together to do so; Therefore, everyone must work to fulfill this request of the Supreme Leader.

Regarding the reduction of Hajj expenses, he said: now the cost of Hajj in some Islamic countries has reached to 10 thousand dollars. Pilgrims from some neighboring countries pay up 1.5 times more than our country. Iran is among the cheapest countries to perform Hajj, and comprehensive planning has been done to reduce costs.
