Iranian, Russian Hajj officials meet

Acting head of Russia's Hajj Affairs Mousa Asiyov attended Supreme Leader's Office in Mecca met and held talks with Supreme Leader’s deputy representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and head of Iranian Hajj pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Hossein Roknedini.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Deputy head of Surpeme Leader's Office for international affairs Ali Khayat and several members of Russia's Hajj Office were present.


 


Mousa Asiyov pointed to a halt in holding Hajj rituals and convention world Muslims due to coronavirus pandemic for the past two years, presented a report on the presence of Russian Muslims in this year's Hajj pilgrimage and the problems faced in dispatch of Hajj pilgrims caravans. 


 


He pointed to the services provided for Russian Hajj pilgrims in nutrition sector, and said that the Islamic Republic of Iran' Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization has good experiences in this sector which can be used for consultation and cooperation. 


 


Asiyov said that the capacities of Saudi companies are used for equipping hotels and providing other services to Hajj pilgrims, adding that in addition to controlling this procedure "we get informed about the conditions of our Hajj pilgrims and their famiies can also get information abouth the situation of their Hajj pilgrim by downloading this software.


 


Hojat al-Islam Rokneddini, for his part, said that Hajj provides an oppurtunity for meeting and connection of Muslims, adding that these meeting and consultations can pave the way for the expansion of relation among nations and governments.


 


He pointed to the reduction in the countries' shares in this year's Hajj pilgrimage and the skyrocketing costs in Saudi Arabia as worrying problems for Muslim nations, 


Hojat al-Islam Roknedini also pointed to Iran's experiences in the fields of training, nutrition and medical affairs of Hajj pilgrims and invited the Russian delegation to visit Iran's medical centers and central kitchen for Hajj pilgrims.
