Pakistan Minister of Religious Affairs meets with the Head of the Iranian pilgrims in Mecca

Officials of the Hajj delegations of Iran and Pakistan discussed ways to speed up interactions between the two countries in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage and addressing the problems of Islamic world in the Hajj great congress in mecca.

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, Pakistan Minister of Religious Affairs met and discussed with Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs and Head of the Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab at the Supreme Leader Delegation Office in mecca.


At this meeting, two sides discussed about interactions between two countries in the field of Hajj and Pilgrimage and demanded speeding up expanding cooperation between two sides in this field.


Referring to the annual presence of tens of thousands of Pakistani pilgrims in Iran in order to visit holy places in our country and also their land travel to Iraq and Syria, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab assessed the meetings and discussions of two countries religious officials useful and effective in order to strengthen relations between Iran and Pakistan.


He considered such meetings between the religious officials of two neighbor and brother countries as blessings of Hajj and said: In these meetings, we can discuss cooperation related to the interests of Tehran and Islamabad.


Two sides discussed at this meeting about the contents of memorandum of cooperation to be signed between two countries, and the Pakistani side emphasized: considering the large number of pilgrimage trips by Pakistani nationals to Iran and the use of land travel to Iraq and Syria to visit places that lead to the strengthening of people's faith, he is ready to sign this memorandum as soon as possible in Pakistan or Iran.


Stating that the signing of this memorandum is beneficial for both countries, Abdul Shakoor Sardar Khan said: this action will make Pakistani pilgrims happy and will have constructive effects on religious relations between the two countries.


Chairman of the Hawzas all around the country, chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization and also the international and cultural deputies of Supreme Leader Delegation Office were presented at this meeting.


Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage organization Dr. Syyed Sadegh Hosseini saying that signing this memorandum can facilitate the pilgrimage trips of Pakistani pilgrims to our country, added: 2600 companies and pilgrimage offices that are active in transporting Iranian pilgrims to Iraq and Syria can be used to provide similar services to Pakistani pilgrims.


Chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization considered the religious, cultural and historical commons as a reason for the bond between two nations and evaluated the religious relations between the two countries at a very good level.


In the continuation of this meeting, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hosseini Bushehri in his speech considered the three blessings of Islam, brotherhood and good neighborhood as blessings that make it possible for Iran and Pakistan to be with each other in different situations in the light of the Hajj spirituality.


Pointing out the role of Hajj diplomacy in strengthening relations between the two countries, he asked the Pakistani side convey the message of this diplomacy to Pakistan, which can lead to the neutralization of conspiracies of Islam and the Quran enemies.


Stating that Islam teaches us the lesson of unity and brotherhood, Pakistan Minister of Religious Affairs said Hajj is the manifestation of the unity of Islamic Ummah and the Two Holy Mosque is the common point of the Muslims in the world and this unity can be formed in the Great Congress of Hajj.


Referring to the good and constructive points that were raised and discussed at this meeting, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs reminded the future role of Iran and Pakistan in confronting Islamophobia and the condemnation of burning Quran and insulting Islam.


Emphasizing on responding to the aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque, Hojjat al-Islam Nawab said: by publishing joint statements, we can show our reaction to the world in defense of Islam and Muslims.


The unity of Islamic countries in defending religious issues, Quran and the Holy Prophet will make the enemies no longer have the courage to take such actions, he added.
