The national meeting of the Arbaeen’s cultural committees officials

As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, The national meeting of the officials of Arbaeen’s cultural committees and the heads of women's groups of this committee in the provinces was held in Tehran with the presence of Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs Seyed Abdolfattah Navvabn, in order to coordinate the programs and explain the latest situation and developments in the cultural and social areas of Arbaeen. The meeting was held at the Imam Khomeini's shrine.

In his speech, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs considered serving Arbaeen pilgrims a luck and entering Hosseini's tent as a God's great favor to the servants of Arbaeen pilgrims.

He called the Arbaeen walk as a new movement and a very amazing phenomenon in today's world and said: at a time when some people are pursuing other goals, Those who seek serving the people are trying to provide luggage for the pilgrims of Imam Hossein (AS) so that they can get more and better grace from this spiritual journey.

Referring to the words of Holy Prophet (PBUH) about Imam Ali and Imam Hossain (AS), Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: these words show that the Prophet considered Islam to be derived from the holy existence of the father and son.

Considering the efforts and patience of Hazrat Ali (AS) and the uprising of Seyyed al-Shuhada (peace be upon him) as the reason for the stability of religion, and referring to the slogan of "I am from Hossain" as this year's Arbaeen, he said: the survival of Islam is due to the Imam Hossein (AS) sacrifice and today even people who are not Muslims are bowing down in front of him.

“I am from Hossein”, means that the stability of the religion was formed by the uprising and sacrifice of the blood of the oppressed and companions of Imam Hossein (AS), companions who were pure and with their blood the tree of religion grew.

Pointing to the presence of different religions’ followers in Arbaeen ceremony and their respect the Hossain Ibn Ali (AS), Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs said: Gandhi owes India's freedom to imam Hossain's (AS) character and his fighting style.

We must strive to protect and elevate this valuable culture so that its damages are reduced year by year and its growth will be increased, he added.

Referring to the Supreme Leader's statements about Arbaeen, he clarified: this influential culture has penetrated the layers of human societies.

Pointing to the religious and traditional processions that are held in the world in different ways, he said: looking at these processions, we find out that they are derived from a tradition and do not have religious or high belief roots.

Stating that some of these processions are carried out in Europe and developed countries, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said: Arbaeen procession has another characteristic that is thanks the perfect human being because pilgrimage is to thanks the perfect human being.

Arbaeen pilgrimage is the renewal of covenant, going to the Infallible Imam, showing devotion and belief and renewing the covenant with the Infallible Imam, but those processions do not have this characteristic.

Pointing out that no humble services are offered in those processions, he considered the manner of serving in the Arbaeen ceremony as an indication of purity and belief in this path and the servants of this path and said: that is why the Supreme Leader says: Arbaeen It is the foundation of Islamic civilization.

Stating that Arbaeen is a great cultural event and efforts should be made to promote this ceremony, he said: Arbaeen is a foundation for moral virtues and wherever in this ceremony there is a lesson for humans.

Reminding the necessity of honoring and appreciating Iraq’s people, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs said: continuing this path is possible with the rule of pilgrimage culture and gratitude to the servants of the Arbaeen ceremony.

He also pointed to the issues inside Iraq and its possible impact on the Arbaeen ceremony and emphasized: we want a united and powerful Iraq and pilgrims should refrain from commenting on the country’s issues.

Hojjat al-Islam Navvab called for more active working groups and think tanks regarding Arbaeen and stressed on identifying damages and ways to deal with them.

Staying longer than the required time is a harm that must be prevented, and in this case, Iraqis will feel that they are serving more pilgrims of Aba Abdullah al-Hossein (AS), he said.

Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs demanded to take advantage of past experiments and trying to learn it in similar areas and unity of orientation, coordination and synergy and be care in the efforts of all departments and said: all committees should move in the same direction so that synergy leads to greater power and more influence in the scientific, cultural and executive sectors.

He emphasized on the need to complete the comprehensive plan of Khadim al-Hossein and said: this plan will show itself when all goals are focused on serving the pilgrims of Imam Hossein (AS).

Emphasizing that the Moukebs should not be personal, family, regional and urban and all pilgrims should be able to use them, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the elders play a fatherly role and the same ages treat each other like brothers and sisters treat sisterly.

Today's Arbaeen is an operation and a front that needs a support headquarters, thinking and planning rooms, provision of facilities and also how to enter and to return in order to benefit more of this spiritual trip.

Considering necessary for brokers to become Hosseini, he said: brokers should try to get closer to the center of attraction of Imam Hossein (AS) that has attracted followers of different religions.

Love to Imam Hossein (AS) is the warmth that God has placed in the hearts of people who have its readiness.

Calling to evaluate the activities of the past and this year and comparing them, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs said that becoming a Hosseini requires setting the example of Imam Hossein (AS) in activities and following his behavior.

Stating that Arbaeen should have impact on human existence, Hujjat al-Islam Navvab added: we should measure ourselves to what extent we are similar to the companions of Imam Hossein (AS) and what role and position would we have if we were in Karbala.

Referring to a narration of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), he added: Man should work and commit to the best of his ability and avoid taking big tasks that is not able to do, and this is the point that should be taken into consideration in Arbaeen.

Addressing the audience, he said: People who are serving the pilgrims at the borders and other places should know that if they facilitate the pilgrimage of others, they will be in the court of Imam Hussein (AS) and will receive more rewards.

At the end, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs emphasized on paying attention to congregational prayers, reciting and memorizing the Qur'an, highlighting the names of the martyrs and pilgrimage on behalf of the martyrs and said: during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, it is good for a person to be a pilgrim and servant of other pilgrims, consider Iraq as his home and pay attention to public cleanliness.

Referring to the objectives of holding this meeting, head of the cultural and educational committee of Arbaeen Hojjat al-Islam Hamid Ahmadi stated at the beginning of the meeting that heads of the groups, while examining the specialized issues of their field, will also present activities carried out in the fields of holding scientific conferences, advertising, women, Quran and children and teenagers, poetry and literature, virtual space and media.
