pre-registration of more than 1.6 million people for the Arbaeen trip
Since the beginning of pre-registration process, more than 1.6 people have registered in the Samah system.
As reported by Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Information Base, the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization was held under the chairmanship of Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs and Supervisor of Iranian pilgrims Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab. It was announced at the meeting that the pre-registration process of Arbaeen travel applicants will continue in the coming days.
All the complexes related to Arbaeen try to organize the spiritual journey of Arbaeen better than the past years and at the level of Islamic Republic of Iran’s programs, Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said.
Pointing out that the reports indicate that millions of people have welcomed this year's Arbaeen spiritual journey, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab asked the pilgrims to manage their travel in such a way that their stay in Iraq would be short, so that more people who are interested in this journey can enjoy.
Stating that in addition to the registration of pilgrims in the Samah system, this organization also provides aid and guidance and insurance for pilgrims, chairman of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Dr. Seyed Sadegh Hosseini referred at this meeting to the follow-ups regarding providing facilities for ground, air and telecommunication travel and said: two stations have been established at the borders of Mehran and Shalamcheh for welcoming pilgrims who return the country after pilgrimage.
The meeting continued with the report of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization deputy in Atabat affairs Hojjat al-Islam Sohbatollah Rahmani and also head of the cultural and educational committee of Arbaeen Hamid Ahmadi regarding the plans and measures which have taken for this year's Arbaeen.
Referring to his visits to the land borders and the arrangements for the crossing of pilgrims with the Iranian and Iraqi parties, Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization deputy in Atabat affairs added: four borders of Khosravi, Mehran, Shalamcheh and Chazabeh are defined in the Samah system and are ready for the pilgrims crossing, and the transit from the three borders of Tamrchin, Bashmagh and Soumar will also be subject to the order and permission of Interior Ministry.
Pointing out that so far more than 25000 pilgrims have finalized their registration in Samah system, he added: 56 percent of the pilgrims have chosen Mehran border for leaving the country in pre-registration, and this number reaches about 80 percent when they return, so appropriate measures should be taken to transport the pilgrims inside.
Referring to the activation of 14 councils and specialized working groups and the activities to hold scientific, propaganda, children and teenagers, and poetry and literature conferences, head of the cultural and educational committee of Arbaeen also said: provincial cultural committees are active in all provinces under the supervision of Arbaeen provincial headquarters.
Arrangements to send about 5,000 missionaries in the form of popular groups and about 1,200 linguist missionaries, as well as the presence of Sunnis in the Arbaeen ceremony have been made. It is also expected that we will have 400 thousand transit pilgrims who will travel to the pilgrimage cities of our country, Hojjat al-Islam Ahmadi added.
He also pointed to sending of drama groups, Quranic caravans and media groups, measures in cyberspace and holding seven large exhibitions in Iraq and said: this year, the plan for honoring the Iraqi owners of Moukebs will be implemented.
Referring to the constructive effects of communication with God and Du’a in cultural activities, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and pilgrimage Affairs demanded paying attention to this importance in the planning and inform about the various aspects of this spiritual journey.
Pilgrims should be justified that all those involved are trying to make the Arbaeen trip an affordable trip for those who wish to attend this ceremony, he emphasized.
